We have seen very familiar face on TV for a recent couple of days.

In this familiar ship, there have been coronavirus infected people. So she cannot park/moor at Yokohama Port. There are many passengers are stuck in her and we are very curious how Japanese young generations think about wealthy seniors in this GB’s luxury cruise ship.

ここ二日ほど、トップニュースに慣れ親しんだ顔が写っています。

感染の恐怖以上に、横浜港に入港できないままのこのイギリス船にとじこめられているシニア富裕層のことを、今の日本の若者がどう思っているかが気になります。

A familiar sight in this area #1

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Saturday afternoon, it was not raining yet. Cloudy sky covered Kanmon area.

I found many birds are lining up on the mole, but they were not. I looked closely and found out they are people, not birds.

It is a familiar sight in this area in the weekend. Many fish may come closer to the mole on Saturday and Sunday. By the way, the place is a very famous spot among people with a particular hobby.

We sometimes enjoy fishing with our guests here.

よく見る光景 (1)

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

土曜の昼下がり、なんとかお天気はもってくれているみたいで、海峡は曇り空です。

あれ？なにかきれいに並んでて、海鳥かな？と目を凝らしてよく見ると、、、

鳥ではなくて、人間でした。

週末になると、このあたりでよく見かける光景です。きっと土日に大釣りできるんでしょう。
ちなみにこの場所、その筋では結構有名な場所だったりします。

当宿でも、時折ゲストと一緒に糸を垂らしたりしています。

見ていてハラハラ・ドキドキ！/ It makes us feel uneasy just to see it!

It makes us feel uneasy just to see it!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Half month has been passed since year of 2020 started. Ocean traffics are getting busy in this strait which we can look down from this guesthouse.

Specially more and more “working ships (like cargo/bulk ships)” are crossing the strait.

(Once upon a time, there was education TV program called “Working Man” in Japan.)

Among those ships, some ships makes us feel nervous to see them.

For example, this ship sinks more than half of the body in the sea and it shows and hides its bow from the water, even though it is not stormy weather.

We cannot help praying for no traffic accident in one of the busiest strait in the world.

見ていてハラハラ・ドキドキ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

2020年になってから半月以上が経過し、眼下に見下ろす海峡も慌ただしくなってきました。

「はたらく船たち（貨物船）」が次々と通り過ぎていきます。

（むかしむかし日本では「はたらくおじさん」という教育番組がありました。番組を見て育った子どもたちも今ではみんな立派に「はたらくおじさん・おばさん」ですね。）

行き交う船の中には、見ていてヒヤヒヤする船も少なくありません。

過積載のせいか、船体が大きく沈み込み、船首が海面から見え隠れ、、、けっして海が時化ているわけではありません。

世界有数の交通量の海峡で事故など起こらないことをお祈りせずにはいられません。
