A recent trend among our guests is that more and more people are spending special occasions at this guesthouse.

Is it because we have changed our style of OMOTENASHI (=hospitality) in response of the post-COVID?

This was unexpected for us, but we are grateful and very happy about it.

To make guests’ stay even more special, we get high motivation even more rewarding to provide hospitality!

We have expanded our range of plans and props to cater to each guest’s special occasions.

We hope all potential guests will feel at ease when choosing our accommodation, knowing that we may even have some unexpected surprises along the way.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

最近のゲストさんの傾向として、特別な日を当宿で過ごされる方がとても増えています。

ポストコロナの対応として、おもてなしのスタイルを変えたからでしょうか？

こちらとしては想定外でしたが、ありがたく、とてもうれしい展開です。

さらにスペシャルな滞在となるよう、お・も・て・な・しに対するやりがいもマシマシです！

ゲストさんそれぞれの各種「特別」に対して、それぞれに対応するプランや小道具も充実してきました。

予想外のサプライズまで含めて、安心して当宿を選んでいただきたいですね。

A grateful compliment

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This summer, one guest stayed at our guesthouse for three nights.

Although it was her first solo trip, she didn’t rush around to see the sights, and instead spent the time relaxing in the room until around noon.

During our conversation on the second night, she said

a comment, “I want to live here, seriously,”

We weren’t able to confirm what exactly here refers to, but…

I believe it is Kitakyushu, the town of Komorie, and this guesthouse.

And because we are sharing this lifestyle, we feel great joy when our users feel like they want to live here.

We generally refrains from doing anything ambitious like revitalizing the town,, but we hope to increase the number of guests who become interested in this area through such grassroots experiences.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

この夏いらっしゃったゲストさん、当宿で三泊滞在されました。

初めてのひとり旅ということでしたが、焦って観光地を巡ることもなく、お昼頃までお部屋でゆっくり過ごされたようです。

その二泊目のおしゃべりで発言したのが、、、

「ここに住みたい、真面目に」というコメント。

ここが具体的に何を指すのかは確かめられませんでしたが、、、

きっと北九州であり、ここ小森江の町であり、そして当宿であると信じます。

そして、こうした暮らしをシェアしていることからも、利用者が住みたいとまで感じてくれることに大きな喜びを感じます。

当宿は基本的に町おこしなどという痴がましいことは慎んでいますが、草の根的に体験を通してこの地に興味を持ってくれる人を増やしていきたいと考えています。

True meaning of the words

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Recently, not a few guests have been muttering things like,

“Ah, I want to live here.”

It’s unclear whether “here” refers to this house, this town, or this city, but

they said everyone was kind, so we are guessing they were referring to our hometown, “Kitakyushu.”

Many of our guests say they love this atmosphere, and

In fact, not a few of them have become repeat guests from overseas, who have been coming back two or even three times.

What exactly attracts them?

Perhaps the key to the town’s recovery (although it has not suffered any damage from natural disasters) lies there.

真意を探る

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

最近、ボソっと呟くゲストさんが少なくありません。

「あぁ、ここに住みたい」って、、、

「ここ」が、この家を指すのか、この町を指すのか、はたまたこの市を指すのかが曖昧ですが、

みんな親切、、って言っていたので、おいらの街「北九州」を指しているんだと推測します。

ゲストさんの中にはこの雰囲気が気に入りましたとおっしゃる方は少なくないし、

実際に海外からリピーターとして二度・三度といらっしゃる方も少なくありません。

いったい何が彼らを惹きつけるのか？

その辺にこの町の復興（自然災害の被害はありませんが）のカギがあるのかもしれませんね。
