Clear and Present Danger!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
As the weather is not so fine, I planned to post heartwarming article today. But one worry came up to my mind and I can’t get it out of my head. So I write about it.
It is about coronavirus focused by most of mass-medias over the world now. But it is not virus itself. Against virus infection, we are gathering information calmly with virus alert from city health center and latest news. And we are preparing for it, prior to ordinary people.
Our biggest concern listening such news and watching world atlas posting on guesthouse wall is the “North Korea”.
There are infected people already in Liaoning, Chinese state adjacent to North Korea. So it’s a matter of time that North Korea will have the first infected person with migrant workers as virus carrier.
The biggest risk of North Korea against coronavirus is its epidemic control system. Please try searching in internet with 2 keywords “North Korea” and “ASF”.
I cannot help worrying that the virus mutates its infectivity and
toxicity much stronger there and infects whole peninsula.
Since the opening this guesthouse, we have had a lot of guests from South Korea and some of them are good friends of us. So we want our friends to prepare to such risk.

今そこにある危機！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
天気がスッキリしないこともあり、気分転換にほのぼのした記事を考えていたのですが、ある不安が浮かび上がり、それが気になって仕方なくなって頭から離れません。
今、報道等で繰り返し伝えられている新型コロナウィルスについてです。
ウィルスや感染そのものについては、当宿管轄の保健所から届く業務連絡や報道内容を見て冷静に理解し、一般の人に先行して対策準備中です。
そんなニュースを聞きながら、宿に掲示している世界地図を見ていて気になるのが「北朝鮮」！
すでに中国側で隣接する遼寧省でも感染は確認されているようで、出稼ぎ労働者などを介してウィルスが陸路「北朝鮮」に感染するのは時間の問題です。
そこで危惧するのが「北朝鮮の防疫体制」です。是非、二つのキーワード「北朝鮮」「アフリカ豚コレラ」でネット検索してみてください。
「北朝鮮」で流行、もしかするとさらに変異して感染力・毒性を増したウィルスが半島を大流行してしまうのではないかと気がかりで仕方ありません。
当宿オープン以来、隣国である韓国から多くのゲストさんにご利用いただき、友人もたくさんできました。そんな友人たちにはこんなリスクに対してもしっかり備えてほしいと思います。
