Let us learn from certain politicians!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
When I drove around neighbor area of Fukuoka and Yamaguchi, I kept finding old campaign posters of one politician kept posted for many months.
Every poster is sustained and faded very much. We cannot help thinking of the politician as a person who leave everything in a mess. Because now all Japanese people know that she got huge amount of money from her belonging party but she didn’t use even small amount of it to clean her stuffs after voting. Perhaps those posters might be posted by instant supporters from the town of the other side of this strait. And they came back without cleaning the posters up.
We don’t have such money like the politician, but we know that we should not leave everything in a mess.
There haven’t been a day that we don’t hear a name of the city on the other side of strait during this parliament week. The city name have become very popular recently. This strait area is structured by both side and is a sightseeing spot of coexistence and co‐prosperity. We always caution ourselves against behavior to lose reputation of this area.

政治家にまなぶ
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
福岡、山口のとある周辺地域を走っていると、ある古いポスターがいたるところに掲示されたままになっているエリアがあって、それがとても気になります。
どのポスターも日焼けして変色もしくは色あせています。こちらの候補者、所属政党から破格の選挙資金を投入されたにもかかわらず、選挙後は「やりっぱなし」でその後の原状回復・整理整頓を忘れているんだろうという印象を持たずにはいられません。
もしかしたら、この海峡の対岸から応援に駆けつけた大勢のにわか後援者達が人海戦術で貼れるだけ貼ったものかもしれせん。そしてそのままにして戻っていったのかも、、、
私たちは政治家のようにお金はありませんが、こんな貼りっぱなし、やりっぱなしをしてはいけない、と学ばせてもらいました。
今週の国会でも対岸の町の名前を聞かない日は一日たりともありません。ある意味、最近もっとも有名な地方都市になっています。当宿の眼下に広がる関門海峡は対岸あっての海峡で、共存共栄の観光地です。地域の評判を落とすような軽はずみな行為についても極力回避すべきと自戒しています。
