Sweet and Happy Gift from TOHOKU!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Just after posting about connecting to TOHOKU disaster-stricken area, a box was delivered, without any notice.
It was FROM a family whose house overlook Sanriku-Kaigan Ocean,
TO a guesthouse which look down Kanmon Straits.
Delivery date was designated on Mar. 11,
but it was delivered on Mar. 12.
Because, transportation company was YAMATO.
(who is now focused by Japanese Mass Media as one of the hardest company with harsh labor environment.)
The beginning of interaction with the family is:
visiting their house as a volunteer activity in 2011 and
cleaned 1st floor of the house, washed out by Tsunami.
What came out from box are:
heart warming Letter and
my favorite taste of SANRIKU coast, “KAMOME NO TAMAGO”.
(means Seagull Egg, famous cookie there)
It must have sweet and sweet taste of OOFUNATO reconstruction.
(I know the power of their reconstruction is the strongest in Sanriku cities, by visiting there many times, even after their volunteer center was closed. There must be very important points, other local government should learn.)
The sweets will be shared with the guests and supporters who visit here, by “first come first served” base.
They maybe served with tea of coffee.
No, no, it must be called as “OCHAKKO”, because they came from Iwate.
(People in Iwate call casual afternoon tea, “OCHAKKO” as their slung.)
I felt after hung up the phone, that I tell my receiving of gift and my thanks,
strong thought to connect someone continuously creates “KIZUNA (bonds)”,
though I tried not to use the word, because it is so presumptuous.
Thank you and you have a nice day, getting energy from strongly reconstructing area in SANRIKU.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
東北の被災地との繋がりを記事にしたところで、、、
なんと期せずして、宅急便が届きました。
三陸海岸の海を望むお宅から、
関門海峡の海を望むゲストハウスへ。
配達指定日は3月11日でしたが、届いたのは3月12日。
でも今話題の「ヤマト運輸」だから仕方ないかな。
ところで、こちらのご家族とはボランティア派遣で訪問し、
津波で一掃された1階部を整理したのがお付き合いの始まり。
封を切ると中から出てきたのは、、、、
心がホッコリ、おもわず笑みがこぼれる内容のお手紙と、
大好きな三陸海岸の味！
きっと甘い甘〜い復興の味がすることでしょう。
（ボラセン閉鎖後にも何度も通い、大船渡の復興エネルギーは
他の三陸都市より群を抜いてパワフルなことを実感してます。
国内外の自治体は大船渡に学ぶこと少なくないと思いますよ。）
この三陸の味、せっかくなので「灯火」にいらっしゃるゲストさん、サポーターさん達に早い者勝ちで「復興の味」をお裾分け、お茶菓子として提供したいと思います。
あ、いやいや岩手からのスイーツだから「お茶っ子」ですね。
荷物の届いたこと、お礼を伝える電話を切った後に感じました。
この言葉、使うのを出来るだけ避けてきましたが、
継続して繋がろうとするお互いの「想い」こそが、
きっと、『絆』なんだろうなと、、、、
それでは、復興に前向きな三陸からエネルギーをいただく素敵な一日を！
