Ah, our alma mater was in danger!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Our home town is getting popular little by little as a retro town. The building of our alma mater locates on the mountain side of the town. I had a chance to drive to the school. I used minor route which is mountain side road behind the school. The route was famous among the OB/OG of the school as a marathon event course.
I found that two point on the road was damaged by the heavy rain on July. Those points were temporary fixed already and cars can go through them. But I could imagine that they were terrible condition just after the sediment disaster.
It was good that the building of our alma mater had no damage by the rain.
However, our school was already shut down decades ago and there is no longer any students in the school.

Our alma mater was suffered by much more serious disaster (man ‐made disaster) than land slide. The disaster is called “Declining birthrates” and “Young generations’ leaving town”.
Land slide can be fixed but our alma mater is really in fatal and unrecoverable condition. It is completely devastated.

あ、母校が、、、危ない！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
レトロタウンとして知られるようになった我が町、そんな町にある我が母校の校舎。機会あってその近くを車で通ってみました。裏山から下ってくるルートで、卒業生にはマラソンコースで知られた道です。
その道が二箇所ほど、先日の大雨で一時寸断されていたようです。
今では仮の復旧工事が終わって車は通れるようですが、豪雨直後はひどかったんだろうと想像できます。
母校校舎が土砂崩れに襲われなくてよかったですね。とはいえ、その母校、とっくの昔に廃校になってしまい。通学する生徒は全日制・定時制あわせて一人もいない状態です。

少子高齢化・若者の流出という土砂崩れよりもインパクトのある災害（人災？）に見舞われた結果です。復旧の見込みの立たない壊滅状態です。（昨年、土砂災害にあったJR日田彦山線と同じですね。）
