Sweeet & Wonderful Present – Japanese should follow
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Since last weekend, this town has been the Riviera for Lovers.
That weekend, guests taught me wonderful episode of a present.
Usually, I don’t put photo of guests on internet .
But I introduce this after getting permission from the guest.
Because it is so cute and too good.
The guests came from neighbor country.
(It is easy to find out which country by seeing attached picture.)
They stayed here only one night (check-in Sat. check-out Sun).
They came here after sightseeing in Kokura and Mojiko,
went drinking to Dairi, Moji, after check-in,
and spent happy night on their first day.
The second day, just before they checked out, the dress caught my attention.
She, same age as my daughter, was a slender girl nowadays like members of KARA, when I saw her at check-in time. But turned into a girl in modern-traditional dress.
She taught me that the dress is a present from boyfriend stayed together. He gave it to her with a message to dress it during this trip in Japan.
How sweet he is! I saw his heart loving his country, same time as loving his precious person. And she pleased to wear that dress. They are quite nice guests for this guesthouse.
I hope young generation in Japan to have similar heart like them. But it may be difficult, because I cannot remember any dress which is modern but also traditional, except cloth for elder generation. It is very sad for Japanese. I think that young Japanese should inform Japanese culture more to foreign countries and people.
By the way, TOUKA has had nice guests, such as this couple, since its opening. I hope to keep having quality guests, rather than quantity of guests. Now I decide again to make more effort to prepare comfort guesthouse for future wonderful guests.

日本人も見習うべき、、素敵な甘〜いプレゼント
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
先の記事で取り上げたように、この週末から この町は「恋人たちのリビエラ」。
そんな折、素敵なゲストが素敵なプレゼントのエピソードを教えてくれました。
とっても素敵な話だったので、普段はゲストの画像等はネット上に掲載しないのですが、使用許可をいただいた上で紹介します。
そのゲストはお隣の国からのお客様。
（画像をみれば、どちらの国かはすぐ分かるかと）
土曜の夜にチェックインして、日曜の朝にはチェックアウトするという一泊のみの短いステイ。
小倉・門司港と観光されて、チェックイン後には大里の居酒屋で楽しいひとときを過ごされました。
そして翌朝、チェックアウト時の姿に目が留まりました。
自分の娘と誕生日でひと月も違わなくて、
前日はKARAみたいに、細身で現代的なルックスのゲストが、、、
一転して、モダン・トラディショナルな装いに！
聞けば、一緒に旅行中のボーイフレンドからのプレゼントだということで、
「これを今回の旅行中に着て欲しい」と言われてもらったそうです。
海外を旅行している時に着て欲しいなんて、、、
恋人だけでなく、自分の国を愛する心も伝わってくる素敵なゲストでした。
伝統衣装をそのままもらってもなかなか着にくいところ、
現代風にアレンジしたドレス仕立てのものをプレゼントするなんて、
イマドキの日本男子は考えなさそうですよね。
それ以前に、日本の伝統衣装（着物？）を現代風にアレンジしたもの、、、
う〜ん、年配者が着るタイプしか思いつかない、、、寂しい次第です。
オープンして以来、素敵なゲストに恵まれて有り難いばかりです。
人数はともかく、これからも素敵なゲストに泊まっていただけるように努力していこうとあらためて感じています。

P.S. ちなみに自分の場合、旅行へは日本の「作務衣」を部屋着代わりに持参します。
寛げると同時に、海外では「空手着」と勘違いしてくれて、護身効果もあるようです。
