Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Saltwater between Honshu-island and Kyushu-island, Kanmon straits. It was posted in previous article that this area is an important place in traffic. Specially not a few ships are came from other countries. I have thought of places beyond the ocean since my childhood.
Nowadays many tourists came here by airplane from overseas countries. TOUKA welcome them with OMOTENASHI of best effort.
However there is thing we cannot welcome even if it came from overseas.
It came here yesterday, the first time in this year.
Yes, it is “Yellow Sand” from the continent.
According to the guests who went Tsuno-shima Island and Fuji Garden, It didn’t affect their sightseeing, but view from here, TOUKA was not so good. Rain stopped in the morning but sky never clear up whole day.
Worse, yellow sand brings PM2.5 dusts and it is a quite nuisance for us, specially for TOUKA whose sales point is panoramic harbor view.
Anyway, it is the very last day of Golden Week (GW).
The guests during GW are all good people as well as all guest before.
So TOUKA was closing GW by little early fireworks with guests, remembering good memories of them.

招かれざる客
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
本州と九州とを隔てる関門海峡。この地が交通の要になっていることは記事にしたとおりです。なかでも船は国境を越えてやってくるものも少なくなくて、子供の頃から自然な流れで海の向こうの国に思いを馳せてしまいます。
現代では飛行機に乗ってやって来る外国人観光客もいらっしゃるわけで、「灯火」ではおもてなし精神を全面に出してお迎えしています。
ところが同じく海外からやってくるものでも、あまりうれしくないものがあります。
それは、今年始めて昨日土曜日にやってきました。
そう「黄砂」です。
角島や藤園に出かけていったゲストによると、観光にはそれほど影響はなかったようですが、ココから望む景色はやはりイマイチでした。せっかく雨もあがったのに一日中ボーっとした景色でした。
ここへはさらに厄介なPM2.5も連れてやってくるらしいので、まったくもって招かれざる客。 特に景色が売り物の当宿にはまったくもってありがたくないです。
さぁゴールデンウィークも最終日。
この連休中に「灯火」を利用していただいたゲストのみなさんもこれまでの方々と同様とても素敵な人たちばかりでした。
「灯火」では、そんな想いに浸りながら、すこしばかり気の早い花火で2017年のゴールデンウィークを締めてみました。
