This summer, the last and biggest pinch!

According to the weather forecast, the weather is suddenly turning into autumn, which will be a complete change from yesterday.
This summer was really hot. Do you think you can get through this heat without getting sick?
In fact, this week, which was the last midsummer day and midsummer week, our guesthouse faced the biggest crisis.
The crisis is a problem with the air conditioning in the guest room!
Since the latter half of last week, the output of cold air has suddenly decreased, and by the weekend we were in a critical situation where cold air was sometimes coming out and sometimes not.
As it happened to be the autumn tourist season, the number of guests was at its peak mainly on weekends, and I was drenched in sweat, whether it was from the heat or cold sweat.
I requested the manufacturer to repair it, but they said they could only send a service person after the holidays.
On the one hand, there were families traveling during the holidays, and to make matters worse, the weather forecast was midsummer hot, so I felt dizzy, wondering what I should do.
The idea I managed to come up with was “Hybrid”!
I somehow managed to get through the crisis by installing a window-mounted cooler that we didn’t use at my parents’ house.
(The problem-solving skills I gained from my time as an employee at a certain electronics manufacturer were useful.)
After the holidays, the service man finally showed up. The original air conditioner repair was completed after two days of extensive work!
Apparently this was an unusual failure, and the manufacturer covered all of the repair costs, so in many ways I was able to breathe a sigh of relief.
I asked him about the real cause of the trouble, but in the end it was not clear. Does this mean this summer was so hot that our air conditioner broke?

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
天気予報によると、昨日までとは打って変わって、気候が一気に秋めくそうです。
今年の夏はほんとうに暑かったですね。みなさまは体調など崩すことなく乗り切れそうですか？
実は最後の真夏日・真夏週だった今週、当宿は最大のピンチを迎えたのでした。
そのピンチとは、客室の空調トラブル！
先週後半から冷気の出力が急激に落ちて、週末には冷気が出たり・出なかったりの致命的状況。
折しも秋の行楽シーズンということもあって、週末を中心に利用者もピークを迎えていて、暑さによるものか、冷や汗なのか、汗だくの状態に陥りました。
メーカーに修理を依頼するもサービスマンを派遣できるのは連休明けとのこと。かたや連休中には家族連れのお客様、さらに悪いことには、天気予報は真夏日、どうしたものかと頭はクラクラ、、、
なんとか思いついたアイデアは「ハイブリッド」！
実家で使っていない窓据付型のクーラーを自ら取り付けて、なんとかピンチを乗り切ったのでした。
（かつて某電機メーカーで働いていた社員時代の問題解決・対処能力が役立ちました。）
連休が明けて、ようやくサービスマンが登場。大掛かりな作業に二日かかって本来のエアコンの修理も完了！
今回は異例の故障内容だったそうで、修理費用は全額メーカー持ちとなり、いろんな意味でホッと一息つくことができました。
トラブルの真因を訊ねるも、結局それははっきりしません。これはつまりエアコンが故障するほど、今年の夏は暑すぎたということでしょうか？
