Japanese Sweet for FREE in this weekend!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
In this coming weekend, a kind of sweets distribute to public.
It use a Japanese material with mold looks like aged Camembert cheese.
Not only mold, but also divine favour are attached on this material.
The material is: not a Camembert actually.
Yes, KAGAMI-MOCHI!
It is the KAGAMI-MOCHI (giant rice cake), decorated at the entrance of KOKURA JO (Castle) to celebrate New Year Days.
The KAGAMI-MOCHI was cut to small pieces, and molds were removed from its surface. Finally they will be cooked into ZENZAI sweet soup and served on the Coming of age Day, Jan 8th.
On the day, many people will make a long line in front of Kokura Castle for this Zenzai sweet.

However, there is nothing scarier than free!
It will be gracious food with slightly smell of molds.
TOUKA will recommend our guest who will stay the day, to visit on this only one day event for their happy and safe year.

カマンベール・スイーツ(?) 無料配布 今週末！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
この週末、北九州名物、まるでカマンベールチーズのようにカビカビに熟成された食材をつかったスイーツが無料配布されます。
その食材、カビだけでなく、無病息災を祈願する有難いご利益まで付いています。
その食材とは、、、実はカマンベールではなくて、
そう鏡餅！
かの小倉城のお正月を飾った鏡餅です。
そのお餅が鏡割りで切り分けられ、餅についたカビは切り落とされ、ぜんざい餅となって8日成人の日に振る舞われます。
当日は大勢の人がその餅を求め、お城の前に列をなします。

但し、「タダほど怖いものはない」
この有難くもほのかにカビの風味が残るぜんざい餅、試してみませんか？
「灯火」では、ゲストの和菓子理解度を考慮しながら、このイベントをお勧めする予定です。
