There is damage in such place!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Recently, it is super hot everyday, super warm and humid every night.
We can feel that we are in the middle of summer now.

After cleaning this guesthouse, my body get sweat and I go to

“Mekari Seawater Swimming Pool!”

But I felt strange, when I jumped in the pool.

The water depth was a little shallower than usual.

I talked that to the lifeguard, and he answered
“Yes, we cannot get water from the strait, because the quality of water is not good.”

Mekari, Kanmon locates at the west edge of SETO Inland Sea National Park.
That SETO Inland Sea got huge volume of earth and sand after historically recorded rain in western Japan.
GENKAI NADA Sea, the other side of Kanmon strait, also got earth and sand from rivers, such as ONGA River.

Aftermaths still remain even in such place, about 2 weeks after the Rain disaster.

We cannot stop praying for the recovery of disaster area and fixing all aftermaths as soon as possible.

思わぬところに影響が！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

連日 猛暑、連夜 熱帯夜が続き、関門も本格的な夏の色が濃くなってきました。

ゲストハウスの清掃が終わり、
汗でべたべたになった体にはやっぱり、、、

和布刈塩水プール！

ところが実際にプールに入ってみると、、、
なんかいつもと違う！

そう、微妙に水深が浅いんです。

監視員にそのことを話すと、

今年は水質が悪い日が多くて、関門海峡から取水できないんですよ、とのこと。

そう関門は和布刈というと瀬戸内海国立公園の西の端。
その瀬戸内海には西日本豪雨災害で氾濫した大量の土砂が流れ込んでいるというわけです。
海峡の反対側 玄界灘にも遠賀川などの河川から土砂が流れ込んでいます。

今回の豪雨から２週間ほど経過した今なお、
こんなところまで影響が及んでいます。

現地の復興が進むことと、広がった様々な被害・影響が一日も早く収束することを祈ってやみません。
