World class quality which Japanese people don’t notice!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Shops of starbucks on last article are mostly in service area (SA) and parking area (PA) of Japanese highway. And I feel the performance of SA/PA is wonderful now.
First of all, most of SA/PA are build at finest location of highway road.
Some have big ferris wheels, some have hot spring spa, and some has Japanese shrine gate (Torii).
Their food also amazing and most of them has local speciality restaurant and popular brand ramen shop.
Specially the quality of their rest room is very high. Their toilet seats have bidet functions and disinfection cleaners are usually with them. The newest SA has faucets with dyson’s air hand dryer.
Because they are located in highway/express road, most of the users are in hurry mode and use their facility for short breaks. However once we use them with taking time and we notice how comfortable SA/PA are. I’ve never seen such high quality highway facility in other countries.
We sometimes have guests who travel by rent-a-car but not many tourists use highway for long distance traveling, because of the fee of highway is very expensive. As I believe the cost-performance of Japanese highway is very high, if we utilized it wisely. So I want to recommend our guests the effective way to use Japanese highway.

日本人の気付かないワールドクラス！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
先の記事で取り上げたカフェですが、そのほとんどが高速道路のSA/PAにあるものです。そう今、にっぽんのサービスエリアが凄いんです。
そもそも高速道路の眺望の一番良いところに建設されています。
観覧車はもとより、温泉施設や、鳥居まである。
食べ物も昔と違って本格的な名産品やご当地のラーメンなども充実しています。
なかでもトイレのクオリティは高く、ウォシュレットは当たり前、除菌クリーナーなどは標準装備で、新しく出来た施設ではダイソンの最新式エアタオル付きの蛇口まで付いています。
高速道路という場所柄、急いでいて休憩程度にしか利用しない人も多いようですが、あえてゆっくり利用してみると、その居心地の良さに驚かされます。これほどのクオリティーの施設は海外で見たことありません。（高速料金を払って利用するためか、「道の駅」ほど加齢臭が強くないのも魅力的です。）
最近、海外のゲストでレンタカーを利用される方もちらほら出てきました。でもまだ高速道路を利用して長距離を移動される方は少ないようです。たしかに高速料金が高過ぎるのですが、SA/PAを上手に利用すれば、そのコスパは無限大！ そんなアドバイスもゲストにしたいなぁと考えています。
