Just between us, it is super comfortable place to live!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
I’ve been focusing underlying strength of this town. relating biggest sports event, Kitakyushu Marathon.
On the marathon day, a lot of neighbors got together at Runner’s Aid-station and Cheering station.
Japanese Drum team, Taisho Koto (Japanese Harp) team and others played on the stage face to the runners. furthermore local people wave hands and shout to support runners.
Not only local company but also local community provide Pork Miso Soup and Sweet Bean Soup. Those soups were served not only for runner but also of us, supporters. We saw that elderly people and kids in neighborhood enjoying soups.
One of our neighbor told us “Even people in this city don’t know about this town well. But here is very convenient and very comfortable place to live.”
Actually, JR station locates not so far, trains and buses run frequently. There are both sea and mountains near by. We really feel comfortable as he said. Good review about TOUKA made by guests might be based on such characteristics of this town.
In addition, I have never been in trouble finding topic/article for our BLOG. As far as I know, there are not so many places like this town.
(Honestly speaking, there is so many topics that I sometimes abandon to post them.)
I know that there are not a few less-interesting cities and wards even in Tokyo. (You know, there is not so interesting thing without MONEY there.)

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
地元の一大スポーツ・イベント「北九州マラソン」を通して、この町「小森江」をみてきました。
マラソン・デーは、コースとなる海沿いの国道に設けられたエイドステーションや応援ステーションに、近隣の住民が大勢集まってランナーを応援します。
郷土の太鼓や大正琴の演奏によるステージ・プレイだけでなく、たくさんの人が声かけて、手を降って応援します。
地域としても豚汁やお汁粉を提供しています。そうした食材はランナーだけなく応援者にも振る舞われ、調理スタンドにはご近所のお年寄りや子供たちもやってきて舌鼓みを打ちながらマラソンを応援しています。
町内の方と話すと「市内でもこの街のことを知っている人は少ないけれど、本当に便利で、住みやすい場所なんだよ」と話してくれました。
たしかに駅は近いし、電車・バスの本数も少なくない。海あり、山あり、住んでみて本当に良いところだと実感します。「灯火」に滞在していただいたゲストの評価が良いのも、そうした町の底力に支えれているからだなぁ、とあらためて感じます。
さらにいうと、、、毎日ブログを更新するにあたって、話題に事欠かない。
この小さなエリアで、こんなところもなかなかないのではと思います。
（話題がありすぎで、ボツになる記事・画像も実は少なくありません。）
東京も「区」や「市」レベルでみると、面白味にかけるエリアは少なくないように思います。（そもそも彼の地ではお金がないと楽しくないし、、ねっ）
