Something different?!

When I drove around this neighborhood, I felt something different.

It seems like “RESORT” was created in this town.

This is the facility some of our guests had used during it had old name “RAKUNO YU”.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

近所をドライブしていたら、あれ？なにか違う、、って感覚に襲われました。

とうとうこの町に「リゾート」が出来たみたいです。

旧名称「楽の湯」時代には、当宿のゲストさんにも利用される方が多かった施設です。

Series: Changing Port Town – Relocation!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

My activity base in Tokyo has been in Mitaka/Kichijoji area. As I have been a country person basically, I am always surprised at speedy and drastic change of Tokyo, specially in Kichijoji. But wave of changing town is not so calm in this home port town actually.

I have reported about disappearing of a book store (there is 100yen shop now), we have visited often in high school days. The store moved to this place. The new store is vary compact but has relaxing atmosphere with small cafe space.

I do hope that the store keep doing business there, even if changing business style.

移り変わる港町シリーズ 〜 移設！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

自分の東京での活動のベースは三鷹・吉祥寺エリアです。特に吉祥寺などでは街の移り変わりのサイクルがとても早くて激しいことに、基本田舎者の自分は東京ってスゴいなぁと常々驚いていましたが、実はここ故郷の町でも意外や変化の波は穏やかではないようです。

以前、高校時代によく利用していた本屋さんが、100円ショップに変わってしまったことを記事にしましたが、その本屋の移転先はこんな感じです。こじんまりしていてカフェスペースもあるのどかな雰囲気です。

変化しながらも、続いてくれると良いなと思います。

港の見えるレストラン 〜 行こうと思ってたのに！/ Harbor View Restaurant – I’ve wanted to visit there!

Harbor View Restaurant – I’ve wanted to visit there!

In the strait view from harbor view deck,

I found something strange and I went there and I found this.

This is a restaurant stand at most seaside on the pier. I heard that it had opened few year before I came back to this town. But it became like this.

I was so surprised, because it stand at very best spot of this port town.

As I was curios what made this situation, I searched the reason through internet and found big difference in guest’s comments between the guest who visited just after opening and the guest a little before closing.

When the restaurant was open, guests can see cargo ships run through colored soda, like a scene in old Japanese popular song.

港の見えるレストラン 〜 行こうと思ってたのに！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

港を望む展望スペースから見る関門海峡。

ふと景色の中に違和感を感じたので、その場に行ってみると、そこには、、、

埠頭の一番海側に立つレストラン、自分がＵターンして戻ってくる少し前にオープンしたと聞いていたのですが、こんな状態に！

港町の中の一等地でもこんなことになるんだと驚きを隠せません。

なにがあったのだろうと、お店の名前でインターネット検索してみると、開店当時の書き込みと、閉店近くの書き込みにある評価の違いにいろいろ考えさせられました。

きっとソーダ水の中を貨物船が通るシーンなんかもみられたお洒落スポットだったのでしょう。
