What’s happening in our city right now…

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Right now, our city, Kitakyushu, is completely decked out in Christmas spirit.

And that started in mid-November…

The decorations for 2025 are different from last year’s,

and events will be held continuously for 35 days, until December 25th.

Since this is such a special occasion, we would like our guests to enjoy Christmas in Kitakyushu as well.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

今、おいらの街、北九州はクリスマス一色です。

それも11月中旬から、、、

2025年のデコレーションは昨年とはまた違った趣で、

12月25日までの35日間、継続してイベントを開催するそうです。

Thursday, before dawn… I noticed something different outside the window…

The strait was shining strangely, and a dazzling moon was floating above it!

It seemed to be a super moon, and I was mesmerized for a while by the fantastically shining strait.

Why not come and see the Kanmon Strait, which shows its different faces depending on the situation?

木曜日 未明、、、なんか窓の外の様子が違うと思ったら、、、

海峡が異様に輝いていて、その上空には眩いばかりの月が浮かんでいます！

スーパー・ムーンだったようで、幻想的なまでに輝く海峡にしばし見惚れてしまいました。

状況の変化に応じて、色々な素顔を見せる関門海峡、見に来てみませんか？

Even more beautiful!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I thought the most beautiful thing was the sunset, painting a vibrant gradation of light across a cloudless sky…however

The very next day, just after the sun set, radial bands of light created an even more fantastical and beautiful sunset.

It was dusk on Monday and I was reminded once again that this is indeed a famous spot for watching the sunset.

Thank you and you have a nice day in a scenery that we never tire of seeing every day.

さらに美しい！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

雲ひとつない空に、鮮やかなグラデーションの光を描いて沈んでいく日没が一番きれいだと思っていたら、、、

すぐその翌日には日没直後に放射線状に広がる光の帯がさらに幻想的で美しい夕焼け空を演出していました。

やっぱりここは夕陽の名所だなぁと再認識した月曜の夕暮れ時でした。

それでは、毎日飽きることのない景色の中で素敵な一日を！
