Speaking of spring…
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
The temperature in the Kanmon area on Wednesday was over 15 degrees, making it feel like spring has already arrived.
Speaking of spring… before flowers, the first thing that comes to mind is the spring labor offensive.
In fact, since I became a self-employed person, it no longer has any direct impact on me.
However, when I watch the news on TV, I can’t help but look at the name of the company where I used to work, which is almost always posted on a whiteboard.

All of my classmates and peers have now graduated from their positions as regular employees, and even in a hypothetical world, we would no longer be involved in the spring labor offensive.
The news kept repeating “full amount,” “full amount,” but if we think about it objectively, Japanese companies may have been waiting for this opportunity.
Which opportunity?
It is “the timing when all of the bubble generation leave the company.”
After the bubble economy, the Japanese economy entered a long, prolonged employment ice age, and the total number of full-time employees at every company plummeted.
Many of the current company workers are non-regular workers, with full-time employees still in an unprecedented minority. Japanese companies are finally in a position where they can confidently ask for a full pay raise.
Many companies that have been posting record profits since several years ago but were reluctant to raise wages are now all raising wages.
Meanwhile, instead of wage increases, strong inflation caused by high prices and a weak yen has accelerated, and improvements in the working environment have lagged behind. The situation can no longer be normalized.
It would be in the best interest of business executives and bureaucrats whose livelihoods depend on the economy to think carefully now about how they will pay the price for this.

春といえば、、、
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
水曜日の関門エリアは15度を超える陽気で、もう春本番という感じでしょうか。
さて、春といえば、、、花よりも、まずは「春闘」ですよね。
実際のところ、自分は個人事業主になってからは、直接的には全然関係ありません。
けれどもテレビニュースを見ていると、必ずと言っていいほど以前働いていた会社の名前がホワイトボードの上に掲示されるのでつい見てしまいます。

以前は、もしも早期希望退職しなかったとしたら、なぁんて考えたりもしましたが、、、
今や同期・同級生も通常従業員の立場からは全て卒業していて、もしもの世界でも春闘とは関係なくなってしまいました。
ニュースでは「満額」「満額」と連呼されていましたが、冷静に考えると、日本企業はこのタイミングを待っていたのかもしれませんね。
どのタイミングって？
「バブル入社・バブル世代がいなくなるタイミング」をです。
バブル後、日本経済は長ーい長い就職氷河期に突入し、正社員の総数はどの企業でも激減しています。
今働いているメンバーはその多くが非正規労働者で、正社員は未だかつてない少数。ようやく安心して賃上げ・満額回答出来る状態になったというわけですね。
数年ほど前より史上最高益を出しておきながら、賃上げを渋っていた多くの会社が、今やこぞって賃上げです。
その間、賃上げではなく、物価高・円安による強力なインフレが加速していて、労働環境改善は周回遅れ。もはや正常化出来ない状況です。
経済を生業とする企業経営者や官僚はこのツケがどう返ってくるか、今からよ〜く考えておくほうが身のためですね。
