Great thanks to the Guests!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

TV news keep saying that it is the coldest weather of this season.

But we got a very warm / hot news this week.

TOUKA got qualified as super hosting facility.

There are many families who don’t have this title yet, such as facilities who opened earlier or got more comments than TOUKA. So this is quite pleasant news for us.

Since the opening of TOUKA, we struggled to serve comfortable stay for our guests without any experience. But many guest seems to be satisfied with TOUKA’s comfort and evaluate us very high. We are really thanking to our guests, more than proud of ourselves with the title.

By the way, we start noticing that our guests has good sense (of travel, fashion and living) as well as good personality. We don’t know why but such high sensed guests came and stay here, and we appreciate building a kind of relationship with those guests.

これまでいらっしゃったゲストの皆さんに感謝！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

関門エリアでも初雪の今日、ニュースでは何度も今シーズン一番の冷え込みだと報道されているようです。

そんな寒い日ですが、暖かい、いや ホットなニュースが飛び込んできました。

ある宿泊サイトから「灯火」が、そのホスティングを高く評価されました。

「灯火」よりも、先に開業している施設や、コメントが多く付いている施設でも、この評価を得ていないところが多い中、とても嬉しいニュースです。

開業からずっと「宿泊利用者最優先」を掲げて、ゲストが少しでも快適に滞在できるよう、試行錯誤してきた努力を皆さんから評価いただいた結果として、非常に喜ばしく、また良く評価していただいた方々には感謝の気持ちで胸がいっぱいです。

これまで「灯火」をご利用いただいたゲストには本当に素敵な方、単に「良い客」というだけでなく、不思議なくらいセンス（ファッション・生き方）の良い方が多かったように思います。

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I remember that menu was very interesting at small party on Saturday.

It was Gyouza(pan-fried dumplings). Yes, GYOUZA Party!

We cooked dumplings, stuffed with minced beaf and pork, a lot of Chinese chives and garlics.

We taught Japanese recipe and a guest girl taught us Korean way to wrap them. Gyoza is one of popular family cooking menu, she said. The way she taught us is the way her grand mother taught her in her childhood.

She seemed to be professional and we found that she is the owner of fine cooking Blog in Korea.

They are located in the middle of dish.
(I was the pan-frying cook.)

They are perfect figure to locate in the center of TOUKA’s flying pan.

International exchange by cooking is not bad, isn’t it?

ギブ・アンド・テイク 〜 教え・教えられ、日韓共同合作！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

そうそう、小パーティのメインメニューは、、、

風邪気味のゲストにスタミナつけてもらおうと、にんにく・ニラたっぷりの餃子でした。

そう、ギョウザ・パーリィー！

韓国でも餃子は一般的な家庭料理だということで、料理ブログも開設しているゲストの女の子がおばあちゃん直伝の包み方を教えてくれました。

ちいさく丸いので「灯火」のフライパンの中央に置いて全体を丸く焼くのに最適の形状です。

料理を通じての国際交流、悪くないですよね。

サヨナラ、関釜フェリー！〜 あの男を乗せて、、、 / SAYONARA, KAMPU-Ferry, the man boarded on!

SAYONARA, KAMPU-Ferry, the man boarded on!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The day came!
The man checked TOUKA out, who was riding around Kyushu, West Japan and Tokai up to Tokyo, 4,000km in one month. He boarded on the ferry boat with his cherished motorcycle.

In the previous night, we held a small party for him, together with other guests and my friends, to celebrate his accomplishment of riding around Japan with safe and to thank him for supporting my bike event in Tokyo. We talked about this SAYONARA event. And we decorated TOUKA with illumination lights after his check-out.

When we finished dinner, his mail came to inform us of the departure at 19:45.

We replied him that we are ready.

The ferry boat left Shimonoseki and glide along a surface of Kanmon strait with its strong current. It passed in front of TOUKA at 20:00.

We could not find each other clearly but we can feel each other with sending the picture of both sight.

As a Korean girl who attended the party said that she will come here by ferry next time, we will be able to try this event again.

Korea, the overseas where I could feel very close since my childhood. I believe this as an unique event of TOUKA, making farewell to Korean guests. So we will keep trying to make this better.

サヨナラ、関釜フェリー！〜 あの男を乗せて、、、

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

とうとうその日がやって来ました。

九州〜西日本〜東海〜東京と下道オンリーで4,000kmを一ヶ月かけて駆け抜けていった男が「灯火」をチェックアウト、関釜フェリーに愛車を乗せて出航していきました。

無事に走破したお祝いと、東京での自分のバイクイベントに参加してもらったお礼を込めて、他のゲスト、地域の仲間とでささやかなパーティを開き、フェリーに向かってのサヨナラ・セレモニーの下打合せもしました。 そして彼のチェックアウト後には「灯火」の窓に電飾まで施してスタンバイ完了です。

夕食を終えた19:45に船が動き出したと彼からメールと画像が送られてきました。

我々もスタンバイ出来ているよと彼に返信を送付。

下関港から滑り出した船は潮に乗って、20:00ちょうどに「灯火」正面を通過していきました。

ハッキリとお互いの姿まで確認することは出来ませんでしたが、その時の画像を送り合い、心が通じた瞬間を双方で感じることが出来ました。

このサヨナラ・セレモニー、回数を重ねることで、より良いものにしていきたいと考えています。

パーティに同席した韓国の女の子が、次回は是非フェリーでと言っていたので、次のトライアルもそう遠くないうちに実施できるかもしれません。

子供の頃から一番近い海外として感じていた隣国のゲストを見送る「灯火」ならではのユニークなイベントとして、今後も大切にしていきたいと考えています。
