One day in a lifetime celebrity!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

In Japan, there is a proverb that goblins will laugh at you who are talking about next year.
This means that there is nobody who can know about future and no use to talk about it.

COVID-19 pandemic is making us to realize it very much.

Please let us talk about one future event in new year with understanding goblins will laugh at us. Local government is now preparing a fancy event to be held just one month later. The event symbolize the character of this city very well.

Yes, it is “Coming-of-age Ceremony”.

It is very famous as the most gorgeous ceremony in Japan, such as major medias have reported and broadcasted all over the country every year. However the next one seems to be held by separating to two sessions considering prevention of infection.

“Kitakyushu city, Coming-of-age Ceremony”

We hope that event will be held as scheduled with good weather without further expanding of infection because it is the once in a lifetime event for young people, age of twenty.

So I really hope their good luck as a senior in this hometown.

一生涯に一日限りのセレブリティ

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

日本では、来年のことを言うと鬼が笑う、といいますが、、、

コロナ禍でそのことわざの意味がさらに現実味を増しています。

鬼に笑われることを承知の上で、来年のことを話題にすると、、、ちょうどひと月後の今日、この街を象徴するようなイベントが開催されます。

そう「成人式」です。

マスコミに全国版でとりあげられるほど絢爛豪華な北九州の「成人式」ですが、2021年の式は感染予防を考慮し『二部制』 で開催されるそうです。

若人たちの晴れの日、天気に恵まれるだけでなく、感染もこれ以上広がることなく、「成人式」が無事開催できるといいですね。
