This weekend is the OBON holidays in Japan.

And we have one big event in this town. The day will be tomorrow.

Since COVID19 pandemic, this year is the first usual operation of the event.

We bet that there will be more than double number of residential people will get together for the event.

Let us keep avoiding the crowds to live or to host.

I just came back from a short trip.

Lately I tried to stop here to watch our town from a distance for a while, before coming back home.

I do realize that it is a nice town every time.

It is said that home is where you make it, but I believe that the real value can be felt after spending a little time away / seen from a little distance.

ちょっとした旅から戻ってきました。

最近はすぐに帰宅するのではなく、ここでわが町を眺めてから帰宅するようにしています。

あらためていい町だよなと思う、とても大切な時間です。

住めば都とはいいますが、少し離れてみる／見るほうが心からいい町だと実感できますね。

On one week day

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

When I went to our port town on one weekday last week,

there were so many people and I felt strange with that scene.

I arrived at the pier, I found the reason why.

There was a huge Chinese ship moored at the pier.

Many tour bus were parked there and passengers came out from the bus.

This must be the reason why so many tourists looking around the port town in where not many people on normal weekdays.

At the same time I found the reason, I thought is good idea to make weekday arrival of large ships the detonator to revitalize the town on weekdays.

( Our weekday guests surprise that so few people are in the town.)

That might be the very fundamental revitalization of our town.

Because our town is MOJIKO and KO means “Port”.

或る『平日の光景』

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。おはようございます。

先週のとある平日、わが港町に行くと、、、

平日とは思えないような人出に違和感を感じるほどでした。

埠頭まで行って、その原因が判明。

中国系の大型客船が着船していました。

その横には何台もの大型バスが横付けされていて、大勢の観光客が乗り降りしていました。

普段の平日は人影も少ない港町に大勢の人がいた理由はこれですね。

そんな原因がわかると同時に、大型船の平日入港を町の平日活性の起爆剤にするのはいい案だと思いました。

（平日ゲストさんが、人が少なかったと驚くぐらいですから。）

これが、本来の町おこしかもしれませんね。門司「港」なんだから、、、
