Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
This city, Kitakyushu, is the lowest birthrate and highest aging ordinance-designated city in Japan.
Looking at entire country, the news of lowest number of births in last year has recently become a hot topic. Prior to national ave, number of children is drastically reduced around this place.
Komorie-west elementary school, the school district where this guesthouse belongs to, will be closed in a few years.

In such situation, we received these brochures in community circular.
This may be the last chance for the graduates and alumni of the school to contribute their alma mater.
This can be good trigger to make you decide to come back to your hometown.
Frankly speaking, this little town is very comfortable to live in.
A man, who came back from Tokyo 6 years ago (though my alma mater is in the neighbor area), truly believes so.
( It may be much more comfortable now than that of alumni used to know. )
Anyway, when will you give back to your hometown?

小西っ子OBに告ぐ！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
日本国内どの政令指定都市よりも少子高齢化が進むわが町、北九州市。
出生数が初の80万人割れと全国でも話題になっていますが、それに先立ちこの周囲の子供の数はドンドン減っています。
とうとう当宿が属する校区の中心、小森江西小学校がなくなるのも秒読みとなってきました。

そうした状況下、地域の回覧板で回ってきたのがこちら、、、
卒業生・OBの皆さん、母校に貢献する最後のチャンスかもしれませんよ。
いつかはこの町にUターンをと考えている方にはよいきっかけとなるかも？
このちいさな町、正直に言って「とても住みやすい」ですよ。
東京から戻ってきて（自分の出身校区はお隣ですが）、６年間住んでみて心からそう思います。
（多分、OBの皆さんが知っている町よりも住みやすくなっているかもしれません。）
