Friday morning, I saw that this town became a snow town.

So I shoveled snow in the afternoon but,

Snow started falling in the evening and everything returned to the beginning.

I know that people in northern place are much harder with more snow but I felt disappointed with this.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

金曜の朝、目が冷めたら一面の銀世界。

夕方また雪が降り出して、、、元の木阿弥。

北国の人はもっと大変だろうなぁと思いながらも、やるせない気持ちになりました。

When I open the curtain,

When I open the curtain of the guest room,

I found there was snow country out of the window.

(But it was a just port town a few hours before.)

How will it be later (heavy snowfall area or back to a normal port town)? We are looking forward to tomorrow, aren’t we?

そこは雪国でした。（木曜日午後〜夕方時点）ホワイトアウトしそうなぐらい降りました。

さあ、これがどうなるか（豪雪地帯になるか？それともいつもの港町に戻るのか？）夜が明けるのが楽しみです。

New face here?

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

TOUKA is the guesthouse looking down Kanmon strait. And view from this office is our favorite.

It is easy to feel depressed lately because of COVID-19 pandemic but this view blow the dark mood away.

One day, we found a new face in the view.

This place is known as hawks’ migration spot to those in the know, but it seems that hawks is not the only bird fly through this area.

We have fewer guests this year but we keep having birds stop by this place. So we want to know more about them and we are looking for handy bird picture book.

新顔かな？

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

海峡を見下ろす当宿「灯火」、オフィスから眺める外の風景はとてもお気に入りです。

新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大のせいで滅入りそうな気分も、この窓から見る風景が吹き飛ばしてくれます。

そんな風景の中に、あまり見かけない顔を見つけました。

季節の変わり目には、鷹の渡りで有名なこの地ですが、通り過ぎていくのはどうも鷹だけではないようです。

今年、めっきり少なくなったゲストの代わりに、当宿を訪ねてくれる鳥たちのことをもっと知るために鳥類図鑑を探している今日このごろです。

それでは、時には羽休めして素敵な一日を！
