Now we have a few chance to see payphone on the street.
One nearest payphone locates in front of Komorie station and another one at this place.
We may feel that payphone is out of date. However it have very important chance for us use payphone.
It is at the time of natural disaster.
When wireless network is down, wired network work for us. Specially wired payphone network keeps stronger network than normal phone.
This time of year, we have high risk of natural disaster, such as typhoon, storm and torrential rain. There is no loss in us knowing where nearest payphone locates.
By the way, don’t you think this phone booth very aesthetic?

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
今では見る機会も減ってしまった日本の公衆電話。
当宿の近くでは、最寄りの小森江絵前と、ココにあります。
携帯電話やスマホの発達により、公衆電話はその役目を終えた感がある日本ですが、日本らしい理由で必要となる可能性があります。
それは、、、災害時！
携帯電話の無線が使えなくなった時、その実力が発揮されるようです。災害時には携帯電話はもちろんのこと、各家庭の固定電話よりも繋がりやすいそうです。
豪雨や台風災害のリスクが高くなるこの季節、近くにある公衆電話の場所は知っておいて損はありません。
っていうか、この公衆電話、、、ちょっとお洒落じゃないですか？
