Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Everything costs more money, like increasing consumption tax. But rarely there are reasonable information in this area.

Both bridge and tunnel will be free starting coming December.

As of now, normal automobile costs 100JPY for one way. 200JPY for round-trip. Free of charge sounds good for us.

Personally I often use both, when I go out for news gathering. I will be able to go the other side of the bay more often. So I am very happy with this news.

12月1日からどっちもタダになるんです！

現在、普通車で片道100円、往復200円、タダになるのは悪くないですよね。

自分にとっても、地域取材等、ある意味通勤道路。これからもっと向こう側にいけそうです。

I was surprised!

by a KAWAII (cute) bus running in our home town, the city of Kitakyushu.

This is not Nishitetsu Bus (private bus company), but City Bus.

According to Sanrio, they are struggling to re-promote the character losing popularity. Is the marketing sense of Kitakyushu who use this character SHARP? or Masochistic?

西鉄バスではありませんよ。なんと市営バスです。

サンリオさんによると今ではキャラクターの人気下落に悩んでるそうですが、そんなキャラクターを使う我らの北九州市のセンスはある意味「とんがっている」？それとも「自虐的」？

This winter, leafy vegetables are very expensive in Japan.

So I drive over the big red bridge.

There are veggie fields everywhere.

I stopped at one farmer’s market and got a “SIOKAZE KYABETSU (Sea Breeze Cabbage)” .
It was not so cheap but a little cheaper than discount super market here.

Speciality of Kitakyushu, “YAKI-UDON” .

葉物野菜高騰！ だ・か・ら 地産地消

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

この冬、葉物野菜の価格が異様に高いです。

そこで、最近お気に入りの赤い橋の向こうへ！

そこは市内有数の野菜の産地。

産直市場で特産野菜の「潮風キャベツ」を買いました。
めっちゃ安いわけではないけれど、ディスカウントスーパーよりは安いかな。

採れたて柔らかい葉っぱをつかって、作るのは、、、

もちろん北九州名物「焼きうどん」。
