Kitakyushu Marathon Race Viewing (Supporter ver.)

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Last year when I prepared opening TOUKA, I do watch the marathon race, but I could see more this year which I could not see last year.

It is marathon supporting facility and people.

Komorie is the one of 7 supporting stations among entire course. It is very unique station where we can cheer same runner twice. Because they run in front of Komorie supporting station on the way and on the way back to Mojiko.

The supporting station is located at 27km on the way and 35km on the way back.
There is a big factory on one side, and is a good size parking lot on the other side. So Water and Food Station were installed here.

At the station, water of course, bananas and Japanese sweets were provided to the runners.

(I personally thought if I got sweet here, I won’t be able to run any more.)

 

Runner supporting show was organized with…

*Japanese traditional drum performance by children.

*Japanese Taisho Koto(Herp) playing

*EISER dancing and so on.
I was very impressed, when I saw the man, lives our next door, was instructing girls how to perform their drams.

The most helpful service in this supporting station is serving BUTA-JIRU (pork miso soup) to supporters.

Just after cheering runners, it was so tasty to me.

At last, after supporting on the road side, I noticed that Kitakyushu marathon provide very convenient supporting software. If I heard the number of our guest runners, I can know easily where he/she is running at.

OK, next year, I will utilize this and take more vivid running pictures of our guest.

北九州マラソン 小森江観戦レポート（応援編）

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

昨年、まだ「灯火」開業の準備をしていた頃にも、マラソン・レースやランナーは見ることが出来たのですが、開業して地元住民目線で観戦すると、前回のレースでは見えなかったものが見えてきました。

それが応援体制。

ここ小森江は、コースを通して７つあるマラソン応援ステーションのうちの１つで、なかでも往路・復路と2度応援が出来るユニークなステーションです。

コース上の往路27km、復路35kmに位置していて、両サイドに工場や駐車場が拡がることから、給水・給食ステーションとしても上手く利用されています。

そこでは、水はもちろんのこと、バナナや、地域の有名うどん屋のぼた餅までもが提供されています。

（正直、食ったら走れんよな、と感じるのは自分だけでしょうか。）

その応援も結構本格的で小学生による地元和太鼓。大正琴、エイサーのダンスなど。

近所の知っている方が一生懸命子供達に太鼓の指導をしている姿には感心してしまいました。

特に良かったのは、ランナー向けだけでなく、地元応援者向けにも豚汁等の炊き出しサービスがあったこと。

観戦・応援でただ待っているだけも疲れるので、そんな時に塩分の効いた豚汁はありがたい一杯でした。

最後に、、、今回の観戦を終えて直後に気付いたのですが、北九州マラソンにはなんとこんなソフトウェア・サポートが。事前にゲストにナンバーを聞いておけば、今どこ走っているか ひと目で分かって、待ち時間を効率的に使えたのに、、。

来年はこいつを上手く使ってゲストの勇姿をさらにバッチリ撮影しますね。
