Another wonderful healing spot coming soon!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We have a nice BGM for every relaxing morning in TOUKA. The player is local music duo “wind rumor” Last week our CD stock run out, as many guests who become fun of “wind rumor” bought their CD from us.

We contacted wind rumor to fill our stock and they recommend me to visit their new music base. So I visited their brand-new “wind rumor house”.

They just got inspection by city healthcare dept. and are ready to open house now. The “wind rumor house” is in wonderful natural environment, and I take shots of their cool atmosphere with our new gear.

Their location is in the woods, even local people in this town never visited. It is real hideaway with healing air. “wind rumor” will stay there and create new comfortable sounds between touring everywhere in Japan. The “wind rumor house” is surrounded by smooth wind as our TOUKA. I recommend exhausted city people to be healed in nature, art, coffee aroma and comfortable music of “wind rumor”.

Between ourselves, there are wonderful places are increasing in the area of this town, where is not popular tourist sites.

素敵なヒーリング・スポットがまたひとつ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

「灯火」でのくつろぎの朝を演出してくれるBGM。プレーヤーは地元の音楽デュオwind rumorさん。彼らの音楽を気に入ってくれたゲストさんたちが立て続けにCDを購入してくれたおかげで、「灯火」で持っていたストックが売り切れになってしまいました。

wind rumorさんにCDの補充をお願いしたところ、新しく活動の拠点をまもなくオープンするということなので、CDをいただきがてら、その拠点“wind rumor house”を訪問してきました。

ちょうど保健所の開業前立入検査を終えたところで、とっても良い雰囲気に仕上がっていたので、新兵器でその素敵な雰囲気を切り取ってきました。

地元の人でもなかなか行かない隠れ家的なヒーリング・スポット。ここでのんびり音楽カフェを展開するそうです。wind rumor houseを包み込むように当宿「灯火」にも通じる「いい風」が吹いていて、都会の喧騒で疲れた人にはぜひ、自然・アート・コーヒーと音楽とに心洗われて欲しいです。

小森江！ どこそれ？/ Komorie! What is that?!

Komorie! What is that?!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

A guest showed us a FUKUOKA guidebook he bought at airport in Korea.
It is a brand-new one issued last month, August, this year.

As I imagined,
our lovely town “KOMORIE” is not on the guidebook.

He said that he tried to find Komorie Station in his guidebook.

But, of course, he could not find it even on its inserted map, needless to say.

According to him, he believed that the next station after Moji is Mojiko, without any doubt.

When I heard it, I felt a little happy with that.
Am I strange as a manager of a guesthouse?

小森江！ どこそれ？

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

ゲストに韓国版の福岡ガイドブックを見せてもらいました。
この8月に発行されたばかりの最新版です。

われらが「小森江」は地図には載っていませんでした。

ちなみに彼は「灯火」に来るのに、
「小森江駅」を探し回ったそうです。

当然、地図上に見つからなかったのは言うまでもありません。

彼いわく、門司駅の次が門司港駅だと信じて疑わなかったようです。

それを聞いて、ちょっとだけ嬉しくなる自分はへんでしょうか？

それでは、どうぞたまには未知の世界に飛び込んで、プライスレスな何かを見つける素敵な旅を！

When I was looking for something through Google, I found that TOUKA is shown on “Google Street View”.

(Photo on Street View says Oct. 2016. So I guess that it start showing very recently. Without shown on “Google Street View”, I spend hard time to explain how to get here.)

Many guests inquired Google for TOUKA and ZENRIN (=biggest mapping company in Japan and business partner of Google. Headquarter locates in our city of Kitakyushu) may decided to dispatch Street View car to such a private street on narrow and steep hill. TOUKA is clearly shown on Street View photo with the sea of Kanmon Strait, though the view on Street View is not as good as that of our guest room.

There are issues concerning privacy around “Google Street View” and there is a risk for us to lose hideaway character, but I believe that convenience of our guests is most important for us. So we thank ZENRIN very much.

The guests who visited TOUKA are really fine people, and I feel that future guests are also wonderful. So it is good for them to get good reference information of access to TOUKA without loosing their way.

From the view of complete access from station, pedestrian’s street near station is not shown yet, but street around TOUKA becomes very clear on “Google Street View”.

ゼンリンさん、ありがとう！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

Googleで探しものをしていて、ふとしたことから「灯火」がGoogle Street Viewで表示されるようになっていることに気付きました。

（画像には2016年10月とあるので、アップされたのは比較的最近でしょう。それ以前はStreet Viewで表示されなかったため、アクセスを説明するのにいつも苦労していました。）

これまで何人ものゲストさん達が「灯火」に来るのに、何度も地図検索をした結果、ゼンリンがストリートビュー・カーをよこしたのかもしれません。 （ゼンリンはここ北九州市に本社がある日本最大の地図情報会社です。） Street Viewには営業中の「灯火」の玄関も写っています。 ゲストルームから見える景色ほど素敵ではありませんが、海のみえるロケーションだということも分かります。

それにしても、こんな細く急な私道の奥深くまで入ってくるGoogleカーの積極性には驚くばかりです。 Google Street Viewにはプライバシーの問題があり、「灯火」としては隠れ家的雰囲気が失われるリスクもありますが、やはりゲストさん達が迷わずに「灯火」に来れるという利便性の向上をありがたいと考えます。

これまで「灯火」にいらしていただいた方は、不思議なぐらい、みなさん本当に良い方ばかりでした。これからいらっしゃるであろう素敵なゲストさん達のためにも、アクセス経路はわかりやすいに越したことはないと思います。

最寄りの小森江駅から「灯火」へのアクセスという見地からは、あと一箇所、駅横の車両通行禁止の広い歩道がStreet View未公開（ゼンリンさん、是非ココもお願いします）ですが、それでも、ずいぶん分かりやすくなったと思います。
