On one fine day of this week,

I went out to check, because cloudy skies don’t make a good background.

Even though it was the day after the cherry blossoms start blooming, they were about 20% to 50% in bloom already, making us feel like this weekend would be the best time to see them.

There were food stalls and food wagons ready, and everything seemed to be prepared.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

今週のある晴れた日、、、

くもり空だと背景にイマイチなので、ちょっと出掛けてきました。

開花宣言の翌日なのに、もう二分咲き〜五分咲きの状態で、この週末が見頃なんだろうなと感じさせました。

屋台やフードワゴンなどもスタンバっていて、準備万端の様子。

Looking for the spring in town

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

According to Kitakyushu City, the cherry blossoms have been declared blooming, after 5 or 6 flowers were observed blooming on the city’s specimen tree.

But only 5 or 6 flowers are not beautiful enough, so I went out to find better one.

Then, I found some pretty cherry blossoms on the edge of a river in the southern part of the city.

And I also found such a historical buildings there!

I was impressed that there is wonderful place like this in Kitakyushu as well.

春を探して

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

北九州市によると、市の標本木に5、6輪の開花が認められ、桜の開花宣言がされたようですが、、、

5、6輪では全然きれいではないので、ちょっと探しに行ってきました。

すると市内南部の川縁に可憐な桜を見つけました。

北九州にもこんな場所があるんだ、と感心してしまいました。

A few more days to bloom!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I was so excited watching SUNAMERI swimming in this strait that I forgot why I drove to the park near the water.

I went there to check the condition of cherry trees, because this place, Fukuoka, was announced as the earliest place of first Sakura blooming in Japan.

The buds were really filling out and I could see a little pink on them.

I am looking forward seeing fully blooming SAKURA (Cherry Blossom) around this strait.

あとすこし！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

スナメリに会えたのがうれしすぎて忘れていましたが、実は海辺の公園に行ったのには別の目的があったのでした。

今年、日本で一番早く咲くだろうと予測されている、ここ福岡の桜がどんな感じかチェックしに行ったのでした。

蕾は大きく膨らみ、ほんの少しだけピンク色も見えています。

この海峡がピンクになる日が本当に待ち遠しいです。
