Perfect weather for wandering – Rainy Sunday

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We have had heavy rain since Sunday noon.

However, it is the best timing for mind wandering.

Listening the sound of the rain hitting trees and their leaves around this guesthouse,

we gaze blankly at cargo ships which go through the strait, hazy by the rain. And that makes us feel relaxed.

So it was good to charge energy for the activity of this week, starting Monday today.

おはようございます。

日曜の関門エリアはお昼前後から激しい雨に見舞われました。

こんな日こそ、心の散歩に最適です。

宿の周辺の木々・木の葉にあたる雨の音を聞きながら、

雨に煙る海峡を貨物船が通過していくのをぼんやりと眺めていると、結構心落ち着きます。

今日月曜からの活動によいエネルギーチャージになりました。

Duet dance in twilight time

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On Wednesday in Kanmon area, it didn’t rain whole day not like the weather forecast.

At the end of the day time, two ships with similar size and color slid on the surface of the strait. They looks like dancing together.

After twilight time, it got dark and one blight light appeared on the sky.

It seems that it will be perfect circle in next two days.

We hope that it will be fine again.

黄昏時のデュエット・ダンス

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

水曜日の関門エリア、当初予報されていたような雨は降りませんでした。

そんな一日が終わろうとしている時、同じような二隻が並んで水面を滑ってきます。まるでダンスでもしているみたいに、、、、

黄昏時も終わり、暗くなってくると、今度は明るい光が夜空を照らします。

あと二日もすると真円になるでしょうか？

見ていてハラハラ・ドキドキ！/ It makes us feel uneasy just to see it!

It makes us feel uneasy just to see it!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Half month has been passed since year of 2020 started. Ocean traffics are getting busy in this strait which we can look down from this guesthouse.

Specially more and more “working ships (like cargo/bulk ships)” are crossing the strait.

(Once upon a time, there was education TV program called “Working Man” in Japan.)

Among those ships, some ships makes us feel nervous to see them.

For example, this ship sinks more than half of the body in the sea and it shows and hides its bow from the water, even though it is not stormy weather.

We cannot help praying for no traffic accident in one of the busiest strait in the world.

見ていてハラハラ・ドキドキ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

2020年になってから半月以上が経過し、眼下に見下ろす海峡も慌ただしくなってきました。

「はたらく船たち（貨物船）」が次々と通り過ぎていきます。

（むかしむかし日本では「はたらくおじさん」という教育番組がありました。番組を見て育った子どもたちも今ではみんな立派に「はたらくおじさん・おばさん」ですね。）

行き交う船の中には、見ていてヒヤヒヤする船も少なくありません。

過積載のせいか、船体が大きく沈み込み、船首が海面から見え隠れ、、、けっして海が時化ているわけではありません。

世界有数の交通量の海峡で事故など起こらないことをお祈りせずにはいられません。
