These days in Japan, there’s another thing you need to be careful of besides bears:
It is sauna!
The host thinks that this incident, along with the fire in a high-rise apartment building in Hong Kong, is the two worst incident this year in which people died from heat caused by poor management.
Just recently, an incident/accident occurred in Tokyo.

When the host travels by car, the hot spring facilities at each spots he visits often have sauna facilities, and he enjoys saunas quite often.
However, since this incident happened, he now makes sure to check that there are no problems with the sauna door or anything else before entering.
It is unbelievable that someone would lose their life while using a facility that advertises itself as luxurious.
I look at the 12-minute timer inside the sauna room, and when the target time comes, I open the door without showing any signs of panic and rush to the cold bath, but what if the door doesn’t open then? I was left pondering this thought again yesterday in the sauna room.
It really breaks my heart to think about how this couple must have felt when they passed away.
Speaking of saunas, this recently opened facility has brand new sauna equipment, and when I asked the facility staff about the sauna room door.
He said that it had been hastily replaced over the past few days. Previously, it opened and closed with a card key.
If you look closely, you’ll see that the doorknob is brand new.

気をつけるべきこと、もうひとつ！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
最近の日本には、熊以外にももうひとつ気をつけるべきことがあります。
それはサウナ！
つい最近、東京でこんな事件／事故がありました。

宿主の中では、本件は香港の高層アパートの火災と合わせて、杜撰な管理体制が原因で熱さにより人が亡くなった今年のワースト２事件です。
宿主も車で旅する時など、訪問地の温浴施設にサウナ設備があったりして、結構サウナを楽しんでいます。
でも、この事件があってからは、入室前にサウナドア他に不備がないか確認するようにしています。
高級を謳った施設を利用して命を落とすなんてありえません。
サウナ室内の12分計を見ながら、目標時間になったと、慌てるそぶりを見せないようにドアを開け、水風呂に急ぐわけですが、そこでドアが開かなかったら、、、と、昨日もサウナ室の中で考え込まされました。
この夫婦がどんな気持ちで亡くなったのか思いを馳せると、本当に胸が痛みます。
そういえば、最近オープンしたこちらの施設には真新しいサウナ設備があって、施設の担当者にサウナルームのドアことを聞くと、、、
ここ数日で慌てて取り替えたとのこと。以前はカードキーで開閉するようになっていたそうです。
よく見ると、確かにドアノブだけが真新しいですね。
