Another Race!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We are introducing big marathon race which will be held in this city, Kitakyushu. But there is one more big race in this Kanmon straits area.

It is “Shimonoseki Kaikyo Marathon” held by the city of Shimonoseki.

I heard that it is hard race with many up and down in the last half of the course. No matter how hard, many runner will participate the race.

This “Shimonoseki Kaikyo Marathon” will be held soon, Nov.4.
TOUKA can accept a little more guests to stay in the previous night.

It is easy access from TOUKA to the start point.
(We can see the tower here. No need to walk so much before race.)

If we will have a little more guests runner who will participate in this race, we will make plan to cheer them along the marathon course.
(There will be traffic control along the course and it is hard to approach to the photogenic spot from this side of the strait. As the spot locates just after marathon start and so many people will run through the spot, we don’t think we can find our guests to take pictures. We may need strategy.)

レース、もう一丁！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

この地区で開催されるマラソンのビックレースをご紹介していますが、ここ関門海峡エリアではもう一つ大きなマラソンレースが開催されます。

それは対岸の下関が主催する、、、「下関海響マラソン」

レース後半にアップダウンの多いかなりハードなコース設定のようですが、こちらの大会にも大勢が参加されるようです。

そんな下関海響マラソンが開催されるのはもうまもなく１１月４日。若干名であれば前日の当宿「灯火」宿泊は可能です。

ここ「灯火」からスタート地点へのアクセスはとても便利です。
（ここからタワー見えてますし、電車を使えばレース前にそんなに歩く必要もありません。）

こちらのマラソン大会へ参加されるというゲストがもう少しいらっしゃれば対岸へ渡り、北九州マラソン同様、沿道応援したいと考えています。
（交通規制の中、渡って応援できるスポットが限られるのと、フォトジェニックな海峡沿いのスポットはスタート直後にあって、一度に大勢が通過するため、ゲストを見つけて、応援らしい応援をするのはできそうにありませんけれど、、、）
