Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It is autumn outing season now!
Not only Japan, but also other Asian countries have this seasonal holidays.
A group of guests came from the country of everlasting summer.
It is a family, but not the family with kids.
Young son is bringing his parents out to trip/drive around Kyushu.
I saw their passports and surprised at the age of his parent.
They are same age as I.
YES! It is the time when we got lead by our child/children to travel.
I recognize that the time is coming now.
Neither of the parent can speak English and Japanese and I couldn’t communicate directly with them. I hoped that I could.
I had felt slightly, when I resigned previous company 2 years ago, that we must let younger generation to take our role in company.
And I looked around Japanese society and found out so many elder generations, such as Bubble (join in 80’s) generation and older, is the majority of permanent employees.
As working population will go down and many company is discussing about extension of age limit, chance and post for younger generation are reducing even more from now on. It seems that everyone is pretending not to see this potential and fundamental issue.
TOSHIBA, NISSAN, KOBELCO and so on, even local government and P.D. also, start having similar problems, caused by too many non-positive old staffs and losing autonomic functions.
We really need to think about metabolism (by letting young generation to have opportunity and post) not only in one family but also in every enterprises and organization, OR we are in really critical situations in Japan.
Of course, there should be minor amount of old management/responsible/professional staff in each organization.

自分の時代の終わりを知るということ
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
秋の行楽シーズン。
日本だけでなく、近隣の国にもあるようです。
その連休を利用してゲストがいらっしゃいます。
今回のゲストは秋のない常夏の国からの家族連れ。
ファミリーですが、子連れではなくて、
親孝行な息子さんが両親を連れて車で九州を回っているそうです。
パスポート拝見し、驚きました。
子供に連れられて旅しているお父さん・お母さんはなんと自分と同い年！
残念ながら、英語も日本語も話されないので、そのご両親とは直接お話出来ませんでしたが、
そうです！自分の世代は子供に労られて旅行する、、、どうもそんな時代が到来したようです。
2年前に会社を辞める時に少し感じていました。
そろそろ若い世代に任せないといけない時期だなぁ、と。
日本企業全体を見てみると「バブル世代」以上の社員人口比率の多いこと多いこと。
その上さらに将来の労働人口現象の危機感から、定年延長も当たり前のように検討されているようで、若い人間の苦労・活躍する大切な場を年配者が奪う・与えないという潜在的・根本的な社会問題を見て見ぬ振りをしているようです。
東芝、日産、神戸製鋼、ひいてはお役所や署内までも、、、
上昇志向のない年いった人間が立ち回りすぎることで、
社内・組織の自律神経が麻痺しているケースも少なくないようです。
家庭内だけでなく、企業・組織内での新陳代謝、、、
古いものが気付いて、機会と地位とを若い世代に譲る・任せる等しないと
この社会、どうも致命的なことになりそうです。
もちろん一部の管理職・責任職・専門職にはある一定数のベテランは必要ですが、、、
