Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This small shop of this town, this shop locates at the street I use to go to my remote office(?) become a hot topic now.

The fashion this shop has released is charming the world now.

The fashion is the flashy Kimono costumes for being-adult-day in this town.

The costumes were introduced during New York Fashion Week this summer and they got high reputation there.

Manager of this guesthouse has kept eye on the special being-adult-day in this city, Kitakyushu, but it is amazing that the costumes are recognized in New York.

この町の一角にあるこのお店、自分もリモート・オフィス(?)に行く際に通る道の脇にあるこのお店が、今大変なことになっています。

そのファッションとは、北九州のド派手成人式の衣装！

その衣装がニューヨークのファッションウィークにデビュー、話題を集めているそうです。

Hard to understand for tourists from foreign countries

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Today is the last day of three days holiday including festival weekend in this town.

By the way, when we think of festivals, we think of street vendors. Every year, new type of venders have showed up and that doesn’t bore us.

When we see the festival scene, street vendors, we found one shop that we can’t help but tilt our heads.

Don’t you think that this can make tourists from foreign countries co confused?

It is understandable that 500 yen bread costs 500JPY.

But 10 yen bread also costs 500JPY.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

お祭りウィークエンドからの祝日、三連休が進行中です。

さて、お祭りといえば露天商ですが、毎年新しい商材が売られるようになったりと見ていて飽きません。

そんな町のお祭り風景、露天商を見ていて、首を傾げるお店を見つけました。

これって、日本人はともかく、外国人旅行者を困惑させると思いませんか？

祭りのあと / After summer festivals

After summer festivals

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Starting today, we have three days holiday in Japan. And news that various summer festival are being prepared all over Japan are broadcasted very often.

By the way, last year,

In spite of COVID-19 clusters were occurred during the festivals, responsible local governments pretended it never happened with explaining illogically why not considered a cluster. Is that only myself who remembered such mystical reaction of local governments?

I am not sure but both prefectural capital of Fukuoka and Tokushima might have festival relate COVID clusters*.

(*You can reach to the stories of cluster scandals with key-word “name of the festival” and “cluster”.)

As far as I saw on recent TV news, I cannot find any remarkable preventive measures among festival people. Is it OK?

If they make man-made disaster happen again, they cannot excuse and they can’t help being told they are stupid.

Occasionally, there are signs that the infection is spreading again. And infection control results can be seen immediately after the festivals.

Now, in this town, Kitakyushu in Fukuoka, people are also preparing for drum festival.

「祭りのあと」

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

今日から日本では夏の三連休、各地で夏祭り等の準備が進んでいるというニュースが流れています。

ところで、そういえば昨年、、、

お祭り期間中にクラスターともいえる感染拡大が発生したにもかかわらず、ご当地自治体の論理的とは程遠い説明でうやむやにされ、まるで「なかったこと」のようにされた記憶が新しいのは自分だけでしょうか？

たしか、福岡県や徳島県の両県庁所在地で感染拡大*したように記憶しています。

（「*当該お祭り名 ＋ クラスター」で検索すれば、当時のクラスター疑惑がぞくぞく出てきます。）

最近の報道を見る限りでは、それほど感染対策に気を遣っているようにも見えませんが、大丈夫でしょうか？

人災を二度も繰り返しせば、今度は言い訳できないし、馬鹿じゃないかと言われても仕方ないですよね。

折しも、ここ最近当県下では感染がまた拡大している兆しがあるようです。感染対策の成果は「祭りのあと」に現れます。

さて、ここ福岡は北九州でも、お祭りの準備が着々と進んでいるようです。
