Sometimes it’s better to be cloudy

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

One day this week it was cloudy all day.

The weather was not good enough to hang out the futon, and I was thinking how unpleasant the weather was…

However, in the evening the cloudy weather worked to our advantage and we were able to witness a beautiful sunset.

I realized that as long as I always have a positive attitude and accept things as they are and I will be able to achieve good results,

rather than jumping to conclusions like “sunny is good, rainy is bad, cloudy is not so good,”

くもっている方が良いこともある

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

一日中、ずっとくもっていた今週のとある日。

布団を干すにもイマイチで、なんか嫌な天気だなぁと思っていたら、、、

ところが、夕方になってそのくもりが功を奏して、とても美しい夕焼けに遭遇することができました。

晴れだから良い、雨だからダメ、くもりだとイマイチだとハナっから決めつけることなく、

常に前向きな気持ちで、ありのままを受け入れていると、良い結果に巡り合うんだなぁと理解しました。

Tornado-hit areas

I visited one more location.

This is the parking lot of my favorite store I have visited frequently.

Apparently, a Kei-size vehicle was blown over by the strong wind here, killing the elderly driver.

The shop staff told me that the roof and walls of the warehouse next to the parking lot were blown off, and that many cars that escaped overturning were hit by materials flying from the roof and sustained damage.

The damage is concentrated only around the area where the tornado touched down… Very scary isn’t it?

In the corner of the parking lot, I put my hands together to pray.

それにつけても、その恐ろしさよ

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

竜巻の襲来した被災スポット

もう一箇所訪ねてみました。

ここはよく行く行きつけのお店の駐車場です。

ここでは風に煽られて、軽自動車が横転し、乗っていた高齢者が亡くなられたそうです。

駐車場の隣にある倉庫の屋根や壁が飛ばされて、横転を免れた車もそこから飛来した資材がぶつかって結構な台数の車が被害にあったとお店の人が教えてくれました。

竜巻がタッチダウンした場所の周辺だけに集中する被害、、、怖いですね。

駐車場の隅で、手を合わせます。合掌。

A Hot Spot!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This is a warning to people traveling to Japan from overseas.

Japan is now not just an economic superpower, but also a country prone to natural disasters.

When foreign people think of natural disasters in Japan, many think of earthquakes and tsunamis, but what’s really been trending lately are storms and bear attacks.

(Bears are natural creatures, so it’s also a natural disaster, right?)

Storms, in particular, are becoming more destructive due to global warming.

Here is the damage.

I have seen the damage caused by major earthquakes and tsunamis, but this is devastating damage in a different sense.

What caused this damage?

A tornado did.

This was the first time I had seen such devastating localized damage.

Bears and tornadoes are both elusive and extremely difficult to predict, so please be careful all the time when visiting Japan.

It seems that foreign tourists have also been attacked by bears at a major sightseeing spot.

噂の現場！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

海外から日本に旅行に来られている方々に注意情報です。

今、日本は経済大国改め、自然災害大国です。

日本の自然災害と聞くと地震や津波を思い浮かべる方が多いと思いますが、実は最近ホットなのが暴風雨と熊被害です。

（熊も自然の生き物だから、自然災害ですよね。笑）

特に暴風雨は温暖化の影響でその破壊力は巨大化しています。

その被害がこちら。

大地震や大津波の被害も見てきましたが、こちらは違った意味で大変な被害です。

何がこの被害を生んだのかって？

竜巻です。

こんな局地的な甚大被害は初めて見ました。

熊も竜巻も神出鬼没で予測がかなり難しいことから、常々注意して日本を観光しましょう。

熊については、外国人観光客も襲われたそうですよ。
