Dangerous Zone after an hour and a half!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It has been warm and calm since last weekend, but…
I went to the spot before the last weekend
to purification （禊ぎ）in the sea.
It might be the last timing, as the winter-type air pressure distribution was about to start to loosen.
Because of this, the purification was originally supposed to be for one hour only, but
before I knew it, I had been in the sea for well over an hour and a half, as the waves gradually disappeared,
Then, although nothing consciously changed, my body suddenly stopped moving as I expected.
This might be because my body temperature had been low for a long time.
In recent years, we have had a series of warm winters, so I might have underestimated the situation.
Although it looks the same as usual, the water temperature seems to be quite low due to the heavy snow falling in the northern part of the Sea of Japan.
My gear wasn’t suitable for mid-winter either, so an hour and a half might have been my limit.
I managed to make it back to shore safely and told myself to close off surfing until it got a little warmer again.
Because there’s no way I’m aiming to become a professional, and I’m in a position where I have grandchildren who are old enough.

１時間半でデンジャラス・ゾーン！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
先の週末より暖かい穏やかな日が続いていますが、、、
それに先駆けて行ってきました
禊（みそぎ）に、、、
冬型の気圧配置が緩み始めるところだったので、最後のタイミングだったかも知れません。
そんなこともあり、当初１時間限定の禊のはずが、
どんどん波がなくなっていくこともあって、気がついた時には海に入って１時間半をゆうに超えていました。
すると、意識的には何も変わらないのですが、急に身体が思うように動かなくなりました。
体温の下がった状態が長く続いたせいかもしれません。
近年は暖かい冬が続いていたのでナメていたかもしれません。
いつもと同じように見えても、同じ日本海の北の方では雪がガンガン降っているので水温はかなり低くなっているようです。
自分のギアも真冬用とは言えないものだったので、これだと１時間半が限界だったのかもしれません。
なんとか無事に岸に戻り、また少し暖かくなるまでは封印しようと自分自身に言い聞かせました。
プロを目指すわけでもないし、いい歳の孫もいる立場なんだからと、、、
それでは、自分自身の身の丈をわきまえて安全第一に素敵な一日を！
