Haven’t seen it in a while

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On Thursday the Kanmon area started off with cloudy skies again, with just a few blue patches.

I can’t remember seeing a clear, sunny sky since the beginning of March.

In the afternoon, the area of blue sky began to expand a little.

So, if you ask me, do I want the weather to clear up?

It’s March now and I’m feeling a bit strange about the weather, but to be honest I’d be happier if it rained.

ひさしく見てない

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

木曜日の関門エリアは少しだけ青い部分があるもまたまたくもり空で始まりました。

三月に入ってスッキリ晴れた日を見た記憶がないなぁと思っていると、

午後になって少し青空の面積が広がってきました。

では、晴れ上がってほしいのか？といえば、、、

季節柄ちょっと微妙な気分で、正直いうと雨の方がうれしかったりする三月です。

日の光に感謝して / Being grateful to the sun

Being grateful to the sun

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On Tuesday, the Kanmon area had clear skies for the first time in a while after the cold wave had passed.

Under the blue sky, a ship towing a large cargo slowly passes by the window.

The temperature was likely to reach double digits.

Even during the cold wave, many of our guests were happy to be here and said, “It feels like spring.” We do hope that they can experience this cheerful atmosphere.

When I think that the guests must have returned to their home countries during the cold winter months to work and study hard, we feel strongly that running this guesthouse is truly an international business.

Every time I hear about each country from the guests, it makes me think about being Japanese myself.

It was “National Foundation Day,” a day when we think about the world from the land of the rising sun.

日の光に感謝して

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

火曜日の関門エリアは、寒波が去った後の久しぶりの快晴でした。

青空の下、大きな貨物を曳く船がゆっくりと窓を横切って行きます。

気温はあと少しで二桁になりそうな勢いでした。

寒波襲来の間でも、ここを「まるで春みたいだ」と喜んでいた何人ものゲストさんたちにこの陽気を体感してもらいたいものです。

きっと今頃ゲストさんたちは寒い寒い冬の母国に戻って仕事や勉学に励んでいるだろうなぁと思うと、この宿屋って本当に国際的な仕事だなぁと強く感じます。

ゲストさん達からそれぞれのお国のことを聞くたびに、逆に自分自身が日本人であることを考えさせられる毎日です。

Specially today, high pressure covers all over Japan and we have perfect clear sky.

On such nice day, how about enjoying autumn night sky?

最期の夏日、何して過ごす？

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

天気予報によると、これから数日全国的に季節外れの夏日が訪れるそうです。

なかでも今日の日曜日は日本全国高気圧に被われてとても良いお天気になるそうです。

そんな晴れの日、秋の夜空を鑑賞するのはどうでしょう。
