What our guests taught us! – Very important information!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Although I interrupt myself to watch fireworks, I will continue to write down what I noticed from the guests here.

This realization came from a guest who was visiting for work, not a guest who stayed at this guesthouse.

Those guests are important people involved in disaster prevention at our guesthouse.

In the past week, in addition to inspecting the disaster prevention equipment, we also underwent an on-site inspection by the fire department.

Of course, the inspection result was “no instructions needed”. Our guests will continue to be able to spend their time at our guesthouse with peace of mind.

The important thing I learned was the recent situation of emergency dispatches.

When I expressed my gratitude to the ambulance for the many times my father, who passed away last year, became unable to move in his final stages, and my surprise at the speed at which he was rescued,

“Last year may have been better. Nowadays, we often have to call in emergency services from other stations” he said, and explained that it may take quite a while now. 

I thought that the reason for this was probably due to the heatstroke caused by the recent heatwave, so I asked him. But he replied surprisingly

that recently, there have been many requests for ambulances due to the new coronavirus infection.

This guesthouse continues to promote our plan by stating that we are taking measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19, but after hearing the voices from firefighters, we have reaffirmed the need to raise our level of infection control measures.

Thank you and you have a nice day by once again avoiding unnecessary and non-urgent 3Cs situations.

P.S. I don’t/can’t write about it here, but I got a glimpse of one reason why the big fires that keep repeating in the city cannot be stopped.

とっても大事な話！ 〜 ゲストが教えてくれたもの♫

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

花火鑑賞で中断しましたが、引き続きここでのゲストからいただいた気付きを書き記します。

今回の気付きは、宿泊にいらっしゃったゲストさんではなく、仕事で訪問されたゲストからいただいたものです。

そのゲストとは、、、当宿の防災に関わる大事な方たちです。

ここ一週間で防災設備点検に続いて、消防署による立入検査も受けました。

もちろん、検査結果は「指示事項なし」。引き続き宿泊のゲストさんたちには安心して当宿での時間を過ごしていただけます。

で、教わった大事な話とは、、、最近の救急出動の状況。

昨年他界した父がその末期に動けなくなったことで何度も救急車にはお世話になったお礼と、その際の救護までのスピードについての驚きを伝えると、、、

「昨年は良かったかもしれません。今は別の署から駆けつけることも少なくない」とのことで結構時間がかかっているという近況を教えてくれました。

その原因はきっとここ最近の猛暑による熱中症患者のせいかと思って訊くと、意外にも、、、

最近、新型コロナ感染による救急車の出動要請がとても多いそうです。

当宿も引き続き「新型コロナ感染対応」と銘打って滞在をプロモーションしていますが、救急現場の生の声を聞いて、ちょっと感染対策レベルを上げて対処していきたいと再認識しました。

それでは、あらためて不要不急の三密を避けて素敵な一日を！

P.S. ここには書きません／書けませんが、市内で何度も繰り返される大火事、、、歯止めの効かないその理由の一片も垣間見ました。
