One aspect of Japan, tourists never know – Experts of staying overnight in their vehicles
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Lately, staying over night in my car during travel around Japan becomes my hobby. Staying in the car is recently gathering attention in Japan, because it is one good measure to escape from risk of infection.
TV programs and weekly magazines start reporting about it. And some guys who said themselves as experts of staying overnight in the cars.
However, I know that there is real experts of it. Do you know it?
(Of course, I am not one of them.)
They are long‐haul truck drivers.
When we stay in my car in the night and we see many of them so often. They are using perfect overnight staying gears, such as window shades of course and I see their special baskets for face facing in the mens room of highway and for bath gears in shower/onsen facilities next to drive-ins. Their baskets seems to be professional gears.
So we recommend to Japanese mass media to focus on them as specially skilled professional of staying overnight in their cars.
Their poor manner of parking their trucks in the space for small cars is fly in the ointment, but it is true that they are the driving force of Japanese economy.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
なんとなく自分の趣味になりつつある車中泊。コロナウィルス感染拡大もあって、このところさらに注目されているようです。
週刊誌やテレビでも車中泊のエキスパートを名乗る人が手ほどきする場面を見かけるようになってきましたが、、、
この国には真の車中泊のプロとも言える集団がいるのをご存知でしょうか？
（もちろん自分ではありません。）
それは、長距離トラックドライバーたちです。
乗用車で車中泊を続けていると、かならず出くわすのが彼らです。フロントガラスの完璧なカバーなどは当たり前、サービスエリアのトイレに持ち込む洗面用具のバスケットや、たまに見かける入浴施設で使っている道具などをみていると玄人っぽさを感じざるを得ません。
マスコミは筋金入りの車中泊という視点で彼らを取り上げるべきではないかと思います。
深夜になると、小型車の駐車スペースにまで大きなトラックをズラッと駐めるのが玉にキズですが、彼らが日本の産業を物流で支えている事実は間違いありません。
