A 10-minute strait cruise on a clear day…
As it’s always possible to take the cruise, and we thought the fare might be a little pricey, so it was my first time on a cruise in a really long time.
However, since the majority of our guests use the service and we’ve been encouraging them to do so, we decided to try it out this time to see if we could suggest even better and more comfortable ways to use it…
And we realized that if the conditions are met, it can be a great deal.
The most important condition is…
Good Weather!
It is a rare opportunity to see our port town, surrounding landmarks, and the town on the other side from a viewpoint above the sea.
The 400 yen ticket is not expensive at all,
and I found it to be a great deal when you consider that 200 yen is half the fare paid to travel to the other side,
and 200 yen is the price you pay to enjoy the view of the strait from the sea and feel the pleasant sea breeze.
We would like to change the previous assumption that “it’s because it’s the weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)” and recommend it to our guests with the new feeling that “if it’s sunny, by all means, please board on the boat.”

実はとってもお得！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
晴れた日の１０分間の海峡クルーズ、、、
乗ろうと思えばいつでも乗れるし、ちょっと運賃高いかなと思っていたことから、本当に久しぶりの乗船でした。
とはいえ、当宿を利用されるゲストさんの大多数が利用されるし、その利用を促してきたことからも更に上手により快適な活用法をゲストに提案できないか検討する目的で今回乗ってみたところ、、、
条件さえ合わせれば、めっちゃお得なことに気がつきました。
その条件の最たるものは、、、
お天気であること！
海上の視点から我が港町や周辺のランドマーク、対岸の町を眺めることはなかなか貴重な機会です。
乗船券400円も、
対岸へ移動する手段として支払う運賃として半分の200円、
海からの海峡の眺望を満喫し、心地よい潮風にあたれることへの対価として半分の200円、と考えれば
決して高くない、むしろすごくお得だということが体験できました。
これまでの「週末（金土日）だから」という前提をあらためて、これからは「晴れていれば是非」という感覚でゲストさんにオススメしたいと思います。
