Local production for local consumption
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
I heard that there are two “day of the ox＊ in midsummer” 2020. . The first one was July 21 and later one will be this weekend, August 2.
(*In Japan, we have our original/traditional calendar with animal title. The day is normally one day in summer.)
Could you enjoy the taste of the ox day?
It was not on the first ox day, we could also enjoy the day’s special food.
UNAGI (eel) made in Kitakyushu.
Friend of my parents gives us the local produced eel. And the taste of local one is very good.
It is my personal opinion but I think that it is a hidden speciality of this town, Kitakyushu.
We are not sure where we can buy them or how they distribute, but we want many people to try it.

地産地消
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
聞いた話では、今年2020年の夏には土用丑の日が二度あるようで、一の丑は先週7月21日、二の丑は今週末8月2日だそうです。
で、みなさん土用丑の日の味は満喫されたでしょうか？
一の丑にはすこし遅れましたが、今年も美味しくいただくことが出来ました。
それも地元、北九州産のうなぎを、、、
親の代のお付き合いがあって、地元産をいただくのですが、これがとても美味しいんです。
あくまで個人の意見ですが、ガイドブックにも地域紙にも載らない地元北九州の隠れた銘品だと思います。
一般的にはどこで入手できるのか、どのお店が北九州産を扱っているのか存じませんが、一度みんなに食べてもらいたいです。
