One scene of winter already

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We had strong north wind on the holiday Tuesday, as forecasted.

The view at the pier was like that of winter already.

Wind was cold but the scene of family’s enjoying fishin’ made me feel warm like city lights.

もはや冬の一コマ

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

祝日の火曜日、予報通りの冷たい北風、、、

桟橋で見る光景はもう冬のそれになっていました。

風は冷たくても、家族で楽しんでいる光景は街の灯りと同じで、不思議と温かく見えました。

新しいお店？/ New Shop?

New Shop?

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On the way back from bank, I walked through old (historic) shopping street in our port town.

I found one shop opened its shutter which has been closed for a while. And it looks different from the shop used to be.

It may be just refurbished, because the name of shop sign is different from the original light sign.

It seems like transfer of an old‐established liquor store, not a new shop opening.

Will the liquor shop have “KAKUUCHI (bar counter in the shop, which is tradition of local liquor shop here).

As an Izakaya (Japanese style bar) on the opposite side was closed in this summer and that saddened local people, we expect that the corner will get lively with well designed liquor shop.

新しいお店？

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

銀行のついでに、昔ながらの商店街を歩いてみると、、、

ずっとシャッターが閉まっていたお店のシャッターが開いていて、お店の様子が変わっていました。

内装工事が終わったのかな？商店街のサインライトとは異なるお店の看板が掲げられていました。

新しいお店の出店ではなくて、歴史あるお店移転のようです。

「角打ち」なんかもあるのかな？

向かいの居酒屋が閉店して寂しくなった一角が、少し賑やかになるといいですね。

A little bit

It seem that the view of our port town in weekdays are changing a little bit.

On Wednesday, I stopped by the town on the way back from bank as usual.

I felt that people/tourists may be increased a little.

ちょっとだけ

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

ちょっとだけ、、、カトちゃんのギャグではありません。

平日の港町の様子が「ちょっとだけ変わってきた」ような気がします。
