Please take care in This Summer!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We have having sudden downpour every afternoon since last weekend.
The yesterday’s one was really sudden.

In a minites, rain started like a water fall. One motorcycle rider got caught in the rain and he stopped his bike and squeezed his T-shirt by himself.

I feel that this sudden downpour is a little different from the sudden downpour happened often in 7-8 years ago in Tokyo, which was caused by heat island phenomenon. This is more like squall I had experienced in Malaysia.

Is this tropical squall?

I am feeling the risk of global warming now.

今年の夏は、本当にご用心！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

週末から、毎日のように発生しているゲリラ豪雨！
昨日のは本当に突然でした。

降り始めから、滝のように降るまで1分以内。対処できなかったバイクライダーは雨宿りして濡れたＴシャツを絞っていました。

東京で７・８年前から発生していたヒートアイランド現象によるゲリラ豪雨とは少し違うような気がします。どちらかというと降り方はマレーシアで遭遇した豪雨に似ているようです。

もしかしたら熱帯のスコール？！

温暖化の影響が恐ろしい今日このごろです。

Summer squall!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It got dark suddenly and started rain cats and dogs. After big puddles were made in a few minutes, rain was stopped and strong summer sun shining again.

I check rain cloud radar but I could not find any rain clouds in it. It must be a sudden downpour.

Now it is like mid-summer tropic climate in Kanmon area.

If you have a plan to visit here this summer, you had better bring a sunshade folding umbrella.

夏の雨！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

辺りが急に暗くなったと思ったら、突然滝のような雨が降り出して、道に大きな水たまりが出来たかと思ったら、雨は突然止んで、また強い夏の日差しに戻る、、、

雨雲レーダーを見ても、雨雲はなく、ピンポイントのゲリラ豪雨です。

関門エリアは今、そんな真夏の気象状況です。

Let’s go out together in rain!

On the second day of three day holidays, it was drizzling as forecasted.

Solo traveling in rain sounds not so fun, doesn’t it?
But our solo travelers hit it off together during breakfast and they went out and walk down this hill with smiling/talking in rain.

Guesthouse in Japan is not only cheap accommodation but also potential place where we can meet up with new face, because we have many shared space with other guests. So you may be able to make friend with other travelers. Actually we have seen our guest got wonderful friend here.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

連休二日目の空模様は、、、やっぱりパラパラ雨模様。

雨のひとり旅ってなんか暗くなりますよね。
でも「灯火」のひとり旅ゲストさん達、朝食をとりながら意気投合して、笑顔で雨の坂道をくだっていきました。

ゲストハウスって安いだけの宿と思ったら大間違いです。他のゲストとの共有部分が多い分に、素敵な出会いの確率も低くありません。これまでもココで新しい友だちが出来たゲストさん結構いらっしゃいます。
