Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This facility is about 10 minutes walk from our guesthouse.

Yesterday, on Sunday, the end of the year, I passed by this facility and there were so many cars lined up on the road that they couldn’t get into the parking lot.

This facility is

“Holiday Emergency Clinic”.

Fukuoka Prefecture has been issued the first “influenza warning” this winter. Since then, this prefecture continues to have the highest number of infected people in Japan.

I thought it was someone else’s problem, but now something like this is happening in a place close to us.

I decided to make an effort to wear a mask again. So that we can provide good hospitality to our guests.

年末の大行列、、、さすがは日本一！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。おはようございます。

当宿から歩いて１０分ぐらいのところにある施設。

年末で日曜日の昨日、前を通ったら駐車場に入れない車が溢れて道路で列をなしていました。

その施設は、、、

「休日急患診療所」！

福岡県はこの冬一番で「インフルエンザ警報」が発せられています。その後も日本一の感染者数を継続中。

ひとごとだと思っていたら、身近な場所がこんなことになっています。

というわけで、またマスク着用に努めようと決めました。ゲストさんにしっかりおもてなしを提供できるように。

Now, the year-end and New Year holidays!

When things get a little busier than usual, I often think about it.

When I go to buy things to use at this guesthouse, I always take the road along the strait on my way back.

And I sometimes see only one person with a rod out, even though it’s a weekday.

I envy him very much.

I go to the beach a lot on weekdays myself, and I smile bitterly, thinking it’s all my own business.

Someday, I would like to display the seafood I caught on my New Year’s table.

隣の芝生、向こうの堤防

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。おはようございます。

さぁ、年末年始！

ちょっとだけいつもより忙しくなってくると、よく思うことがあります。

宿で使うものを買い出しに行く、その帰りに必ず海峡沿いの道を通るんですが、、、

そこで平日なのに、たった一人竿を出している人を見かけることがあります。

羨ましいなぁ。

自分もさんざん平日にビーチに通っておきながら、勝手なもんだと苦笑いしてしまします。

いつかお正月のテーブルに自分が釣ってきた魚介を並べたいですね。

とりあえずそれまでの間、当宿のゲストになって、宿主の代わりに釣り糸を垂らしてもらえませんか？

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Regarding the content of the previous article, we did not respond to the FAQ, so we would like to add some additional information.

We introduced a fishing spot that can be accessed within walking distance from this guesthouse.

But we did not include information that corresponds to the questions that are always asked when talking about fishing.

What are the most asked questions?

It is “what can you catch here?”

The answer is that we can catch a variety of fish.

On the day, the elderly couple caught a good-sized octopus.

kanmonoctpus01 (I heard that octopus has become expensive recently, so it’s a good to get for their dinner.)

In fact, octopus is a specialty of the Kanmon Straits. Like Akashi strait, the current is fast, so the octopus meat is elastic.

It seems that anglers can catch a variety of other fish here such as squid, Aburame (greenling in the Kanto region), rockfish, and small horse mackerel.

Why not take a break from your busy daily life and relax by casting a fishing line to cleanse your soul?

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。おはようございます。

先の記事の内容について、FAQ「よくあるご質問」対応していなかったので、補足します。

当宿から徒歩圏内でアクセスできる堤防釣り場について紹介しましたが、

釣りの話をすると必ず聞かれる質問に対応した情報を記載していませんでした。

一番聞かれる質問とは、、、

「何が釣れんの？」

答えとしては、雑多な魚が釣れるということになりますが、

この日、老夫婦があげていたのは良型のタコでした。

kanmonoctpus01 （最近タコも高価になったそうで、良い食材ゲットですね。）

実はタコはここ関門海峡の名物でもあるんです。明石と同じで流れが早いから身が締まってる。

他にもここで釣り人が狙っているのはイカや、アブラメ（関東ではアイナメ）、メバルや小アジなど色んな魚が釣れるようです。

忙しい日常を飛び出して、ゆっくり釣り糸を垂らして、心の洗濯なんていかがですか？
