Good for Kids!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

At the pier near TOUKA,
there were many families getting together.

Because an event “Fishing Lesson for Child” was being held.

I think that it is a good event utilizing our local sales point.
We don’t need to go far to have good memory with children.
And of course, don’t need to spend much money.

子供にやさしい、、、！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

「灯火」近くの海岸で、
やけに子供連れが大勢集まっていると思ったら、、、

こんなイベントやっていました。

地域色を活かした、素朴でよい取り組みだと感じました。
子供との良い思い出は何も遠くに行かなくても出来るしね。
お金をたくさん使ったからより良い思い出になるわけでもありません。

A little one around around a little guesthouse!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

After rain, it got much more cooler in the morning and the night.

It is getting fine, but strong north wind make strait’s current much faster. Ships which goes against the current look very hard to move.

After sending off guests, I try to put our NOREN ( = entrance curtain ) away and find a little autumn between the NOREN. That was vivid pink of cosmos.

We can find many kind of little autumn here.

ちいさいゲストハウスの、ちいさい、、、

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

雨が降って、朝晩さらに涼しくなりました。

陽はさしてきましたが、強い北風が海峡の流れをさらに早くしているようで、流れに逆らって進む船は大変です。

ゲストを送り出した後、のれんを片付けようとふと見上げると、
のれんの間からちいさい秋、、、秋桜の鮮やかなピンクが飛び込んできました。

このあたりで見つける秋も悪くないです。

やっぱり怖いっ！/ It is really scary!

It is really scary!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As a family guest are scheduled to stay here soon, I went to check our secret spot where had good reputation by the guests in past.

It is grass sled slope but it was closed now.

Because the path next to the slope was covered by huge sediment.

The park on the bottom of the slope was covered by thick mud and it already already one and half months after the heavy rain.

There was a disaster here like this.

I noticed now that houses under this old reservoir has been protected by the old dam from sediment disaster. TOUKA is not under the reservoir but there is roads to Mojiko there. If heavy rain in July continue a little longer. They might be damaged seriously.

やっぱり怖いっ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

家族連れのゲストが来るからと、過去のゲストに好評の草ソリ場を下見に行ってビックリしました。

なんと草ソリ場が閉鎖されています。

スロープの横にある通路が土砂で埋まっていました。

すり鉢状の旧貯水池底の公園も泥が厚くたまり、豪雨から一月以上たった今ではそれがひび割れていました。

７月の豪雨の被害はこんなところでも出ていたんですね。

昔の貯水池ダムの堤防が土石流をせき止める役目を果たしているようです。なにも知らなくて呑気にしていましたが、７月の雨がもう少し長く降っていたら、もしかしたらこの周辺でも甚大な被害が出ていたかもしれません。
