Summer has arrived here again this year!

Despite the linear rain band and sudden downpours the day before…

the Kanmon Strait Fireworks Festival went ahead.

So, this year I noticed for the first time that there were people gathered in front of the entrance to this guesthouse, and it seemed to have become a viewing spot.

(*Maybe next year we’ll sell ice cream too? lol)

While the guests were out at the Mojiko festival venue, the hosts were able to relax and enjoy the view from the windows of this guesthouse.

にっぽんの夏、関門の夏！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

今年も夏がやってきました！

前日の線状降水帯・ゲリラ豪雨にも負けず、開催されました、、、

で、今年初めて気がついたのですが、当宿の玄関前に人が集まっていて、ちょっとした観覧スポットになっているようです。

（来年はアイスでも販売しようかな？笑）

ゲストさんが門司港会場まで出かけて行っている間、宿主はのんびりと宿の窓から観覧満喫できました。

This day suits us best!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The final day of the three-day weekend was the Japanese holiday “Marine Day,” a relatively new holiday that began about only 30 years ago.

On such Marine Day, did you do anything related to the ocean?

This guesthouse offers room with a view overlooking the ocean (strait), so our guests could enjoy Marine Day.

Although we do not serve meals, it seemed that guests enjoyed local seafood very much both at lunch and dinner.

This is the perfect place for Marine Day, so why not come and enjoy Marine Day here next year?

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

三連休の最終日は日本の祝日「海の日」、30年ほど前に始まった比較的新しい祝日でした。

そんな海の日、みなさんは海に関わること何かしましたか？

当宿では客室から海（海峡）を見下ろす景色が楽しめるので、ゲストさんには「海の日」をがっつり満喫していただきました。

食事こそ出しませんが、ゲストさんは昼夜とこの地域の海の幸もしっかり味わったそうです。

On Monday, the start of the week, I decided to take a walk around my town after going to the bank.

And I realized that this is definitely a weekend tourist spot.

Then, on the way home, I stopped by a supermarket and it dawned on me

that Monday is the best day to have barbecue party in this town!

With highballs from the guests’ countries.

週明け月曜日、銀行ついでにわが町をぐるっと回ってみました。

そしてその帰り、スーバーマーケットに立ち寄って悟りました。
