Good start!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The first three days of this New Year passed in the blink of an eye.

There were no earthquakes this new year, and the weather seemed to be calm throughout Japan, except for Tohoku and Hokuriku.

The weather continued to be calm here in the Kanmon area too.

The weather was so nice that the guests couldn’t help but want to go sightseeing.

However our guests had trouble finding a place to go for the three days, as most institutions and stores were closed for the New Year.

At the end of the New Year, and we pray for a bright and sunny whole year just like the weather this New Year.

幸先よし

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

あっという間に過ぎてしまったお正月の三ヶ日。

今年は震災などもなく、東北や北陸を除いて日本全国的に穏やかな天候だったようですが、

ここ関門エリアでも穏やかな天気が続きました。

天気が良すぎて、ゲストさんたちは観光に回りたくて仕方がなかったのに、

年始のお休みのため各機関・店舗等がお休みで行き場所に困ったという三ヶ日でした。

このお正月の天気のように、晴れ晴れとした一年でありますようにと祈願する正月明けです。

それでは、続く週末で抜けない正月気分をもう少し満喫する素敵な一日を！

芸術的な人たち / Artistic people

Artistic people

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The year-end and the New Year’s three days holiday are almost over.

During this time, our guests have continued to use our guesthouse, and we sincerely appreciate it.

When guests continued, there was an amount of waiting time, for example the waiting time for their check-in.

Each time, we remembered the guests who had come over the past year.

And we noticed that among the guests who used this guesthouse, there were surprisingly many school teachers.

We also found out that there are many art teachers, not general subjects teachers.

And to my surprise, there were quite a number of guests who will quit or had just quit their jobs as teachers..

Maybe there is something in our guesthouse that will appeal to artistic people?

芸術的な人たち

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

年末年始、正月三ヶ日ももうまもなく終わろうとしています。

その間、ゲストさんのご利用も絶え間なく、心からありがたいと感謝しています。

ゲストさんがいらっしゃると、チェックインまでなど意外と待ち時間もあって、

その度に１年間にいらっしゃったゲストさんたちのことを思い出していました。

そして、ご利用いただいた中で、結構学校の先生がいらっしゃっていたことに気付きました。

それも一般教科の先生ではなく、芸術系の先生が多いこともわかりました。

もしかしたら当宿には芸術的な方に好まれる何かがあるのかな？

そして驚いたことには、その教師をまもなく辞める・辞めたばかりというゲストさんも結構いらっしゃいました。

Different every year and wonderful every year!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It was my ninth New Year’s Eve since returning to my hometown.

I enjoyed a New Year’s Eve like no other again this year.

The biggest event that colors such New Year’s Eve is, of course,

the countdown fireworks.

Again this year, we had a lot of fun together with our guests.

The fireworks show started with the sound of the ship’s whistle as usual, but I could enjoy the additional wonderful elements that change every year and it makes the memories even more colorful.

Yes, our guests.

Even though the fireworks are the same, it feels very strange to have a completely different New Year’s Eve if the guests I watch them with changes each year.

I wonder what kind of new year’s eve will be next? I’m getting a little excited now.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

地元であるこの街に戻ってきて九度目の年越し。

今年も他では味わえない年越しを楽しませてもらいました。

いつもと変わらぬ船の汽笛で始まる演出の花火ですが、自分には毎年変わる素敵な要素が加わって思い出がさらに色付きます。

その要素とは、、、そう、ゲストさん。

花火は同じでも、一緒に見る相手が毎年変わると、全く違う年越しになるのはなんかとても不思議な気分です。

次はどんな年越しになるんだろうな？今から少しワクワクしてしまいます。
