Japanese Title (邦題)： 「ありがたいのか？迷惑なのか？」末尾に
Blessing? or nuisance?
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
On Wednesday, Japanese public TV station was broadcasting news that was interesting to our guesthouse and a program that raised the issue from a different perspective on same day.
The news “3.31 million foreign tourists visited Japan in October, the highest number of tourists in a single month ever”

and the program that examines “the key to achieving ‘sustainable tourism”

What particularly caught my attention was the statement mentioned in the program, “The government’s aim is to disperse tourists, who are concentrated in the three major metropolitan areas, to rural areas.”
Watching that program reminded me of that scene in the town at the foot of Mt. Fuji, where I traveled with my mother in October.
The black curtain, which had become a hot topic for a while, had been removed, probably because of the large number of tourists.
Simply distributing tourists to rural areas will only spread the problem of overtourism that frequently occurs in urban areas throughout the country.
Before distributing tourists, isn’t it most important to make each region prepare for this?

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
水曜日、日本の公共放送が当宿にとって興味深いニュースとそれを別の視点で問題提起する番組とを同日放送していました。
「10月の訪日外国人旅行者 331万人 1か月間の旅行者数 過去最多」というニュースと

「“持続可能な観光”実現のカギ」を考察する番組です。

特に気になったのが、番組の方で言及された「政府には三大都市圏に集中する観光客を、地方に分散させたいという狙いがある」という一言です。
その番組を見て、１０月に母と旅した富士山麓の街のあの現場のことを思い出しました。
あまりの人の多さに諦めたのか、あの黒い幕は撤去されていました。
単に地方に分散するだけでは、都市圏で頻繁に起きるオーバーツーリズムの問題を、全国に広めるだけになってしまいます。
分散する前に、地方それぞれにそれに向けた準備をさせるのが一番重要ではないでしょうか？
