I really feel that…

The ticket of Rugby World Cup is super expensive.

Our guests from Australia, who came here to see the game of yesterday, Australia v.s. England at Oita stadium, also said so. It seems more expensive than any tickets of past World Cup.

And I heard that World Cup Champion Team won’t get any prize money, not like Soccer Football World Cup.

Because of significant breakthrough of Team Japan, this event is getting more and more popular every week. And everybody believes that organizing committee will get big success with highest grossing. (big success = huge profit)

Well, where will the money go?
(Is it only me who remember FIFA?)

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

やっぱり思います。

ラグビー・ワールドカップ観戦チケット、マジ高すぎ！

昨日開催された大分スタジアム、オーストラリア・イングランド戦を観戦されたゲストも言ってました。どうも過去開催された他の大会よりも高いそうです。

聞けば、このワールドカップ優勝しても、サッカーとは違って、なんとチーム・選手への優勝賞金はゼロとのこと。

この大会、日本代表の活躍もあって、週を追うごとに大会全体の人気も上がっているようで、興行的には大成功間違いなさそうです。（大成功＝大儲け）

さて、集まったお金の行方は何処に！
（なんとなくFIFAのことを思い出してしまいます。）

French v.s. French!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Rugby World Cup is being held in Japan now. I had wanted to watch the game of Wales v.s. France on next Sunday but I abandon to go there with the reason I mentioned in the past article.

On the next day, I decided to revenge.

Not “French team’s game” but I decided to buy a cool “French gear”.

It was a good one I found in recycle shop. It came with hard case and other accessories. It was pretty cheaper than going to watch rugby game (ticket + transportation fee), and I can enjoy with it for next several years.

I tested it on the sea and found that it is fine board on which I can make smooth take off. Attached leash cord got broken at the first ride but there is no other problem.

I think that this is good for repeater guests who want to try surfing next time. We have soft long board and these are good for them to try surfing. So we are excited about going to the beach with them next summer. (Though waves and I do not care about season.)

フランス戦 対 フランス製！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

ラグビー・ワールドカップ、この週末のウェールズ対フランス戦、先に記事にした理由で観戦を諦めることにしましたが、、、

諦めた翌日にリベンジ！

「フランス戦」、、ではなくて、代わりに「フランス製」のイケてるギア・道具を買うことにしました。

リサイクルショップで見つけた程度抜群の逸品です。
大きなハードケースその他まで付いてるお買い得品。ラグビー観戦（チケット＋交通費）よりもずいぶん安くて、それでいて、この先数年は楽しめそうです。

早速、海の上でフィールドテストすると、滑り出しスムーズな一本でした。リーシュコード（足とボードをつなぐコード）は経年劣化のせいか、最初のライドで切れてしまいましたが、、、

次に来る時にはいっしょに海に行こう・一度やってみたいと約束しているリピーターゲストさんにも、既にあるソフトボードと併せて使ってもらえそうです。いやいや来年の夏が楽しみです。（北九州の波も自分自身も季節はまったく関係ないのですが、、、）

Just do it or do it to be paid?

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This week in Japan is sports day week(?).

Nowadays the hottest sports in Japan is Rugby Football, isn’t it? It is because (1) World Cup Rugby games are on going in Japan and (2) team Japan is continuing to advance.

As guests stays in this guesthouse to go watching world cup games in Kyushu, I’m getting to want a ticket of final tournament games which will be held in Oita. However I couldn’t get any ticket so far.

There is one thing I concern very much recently.

Solo traveling cost is being cheaper and cheaper, because of LCCs and cheap guesthouses/Airbnb, however ticket to watch sports game is getting more and more expensive. I cannot understand this paradox yet.

For example, both final tournament game ticket of World Cup and 2020 Tokyo Olympic ticket are very difficult to obtain, because they are very popular. Not only the difficulty, but also the price of the ticket surprised me a lot.

Generally, people try not to bring “politics” into “sports” and they seem to keep reasonable distance. However “money” and “sports” bind up each other now.

純粋さの保てる範囲で！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

今週の日本は「体育の日」ウィーク(?)！

その日本で、今一番ホットなスポーツはやっぱり「ラグビー」でしょう。その理由は、①ワールドカップが日本各地で開催されていることと、②その舞台で日本代表チームが快進撃を続けているためです。（他のアジア諸国の関心度から解説）

（東京スタジアム、自分の東京での活動拠点のすぐそばなんです。）

海外からのワールドカップ観戦客が当宿を利用されることもあり、大分で開催予定の決勝トーナメントを観戦したいなぁと思ったのですが、一般のチケットは売り切れで取れませんでした。

最近、強く感じることがあります。

格安航空会社とゲストハウス・民泊の登場で個人旅行のコストは大幅ダウンしたのに、スポーツの観戦チケットはどんどん値上がりしている矛盾です。

ワールドカップ決勝トーナメントのチケットに、来年の東京オリンピックの観戦チケット、、、どちらもその人気から入手することすらなかなか出来ませんが、気になるのはその価格、、、異様なまでの高さに目が飛び出そうです。（台風で中止になった試合の興行収入は相当イタいんだろうと容易に想像がつきますね。）

「スポーツ」は「政治」とは、近づいてはいても、まだある一定の距離を保てているようにみえます。ところが「スポーツ」と「お金」とは今や切っても切れない関係です。
