Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
This week in Japan is sports day week(?).
Nowadays the hottest sports in Japan is Rugby Football, isn’t it? It is because (1) World Cup Rugby games are on going in Japan and (2) team Japan is continuing to advance.
*The attached picture is Tokyo Stadium on the day of the World Cup opening. (*My base in Tokyo is very close to the stadium.)
As guests stays in this guesthouse to go watching world cup games in Kyushu, I’m getting to want a ticket of final tournament games which will be held in Oita. However I couldn’t get any ticket so far.
There is one thing I concern very much recently.
Solo traveling cost is being cheaper and cheaper, because of LCCs and cheap guesthouses/Airbnb, however ticket to watch sports game is getting more and more expensive. I cannot understand this paradox yet.
For example, both final tournament game ticket of World Cup and 2020 Tokyo Olympic ticket are very difficult to obtain, because they are very popular. Not only the difficulty, but also the price of the ticket surprised me a lot.
Generally, people try not to bring “politics” into “sports” and they seem to keep reasonable distance. However “money” and “sports” bind up each other now.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
今週の日本は「体育の日」ウィーク(?)！
その日本で、今一番ホットなスポーツはやっぱり「ラグビー」でしょう。その理由は、①ワールドカップが日本各地で開催されていることと、②その舞台で日本代表チームが快進撃を続けているためです。（他のアジア諸国の関心度から解説）
ちなみに画像はワールドカップ開会式の日の「東京スタジアム」。
（東京スタジアム、自分の東京での活動拠点のすぐそばなんです。）
海外からのワールドカップ観戦客が当宿を利用されることもあり、大分で開催予定の決勝トーナメントを観戦したいなぁと思ったのですが、一般のチケットは売り切れで取れませんでした。
最近、強く感じることがあります。
格安航空会社とゲストハウス・民泊の登場で個人旅行のコストは大幅ダウンしたのに、スポーツの観戦チケットはどんどん値上がりしている矛盾です。
ワールドカップ決勝トーナメントのチケットに、来年の東京オリンピックの観戦チケット、、、どちらもその人気から入手することすらなかなか出来ませんが、気になるのはその価格、、、異様なまでの高さに目が飛び出そうです。（台風で中止になった試合の興行収入は相当イタいんだろうと容易に想像がつきますね。）
「スポーツ」は「政治」とは、近づいてはいても、まだある一定の距離を保てているようにみえます。ところが「スポーツ」と「お金」とは今や切っても切れない関係です。
