What day was Monday?
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
A guest with a strong sense of world peace and artistic feeling asked me about the reason for the tea ceremony being held at the museum.
That made me realized that Monday was our national holiday, which is the “Culture Day”.
In our job of hosting travelers, we often work on weekends and holidays and take breaks on weekdays, so we gradually lose track of the days of the week.
Nowadays, days of the week and holidays are just indicators to avoid getting caught up in crowds and traffic jams.
Rather than being swayed by arbitrary rules made by humans, we would rather live our lives while paying attention to natural phenomena such as the weather and daylight hours.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
アートで平和意識の高いゲストさんに、美術館で催されていた茶会の理由を聞かれて、、、
月曜が祝日、それも「文化の日」だったことに気付かされました。
旅人をおもてなしする仕事は、土日祝日に働き、平日に休息をとることが多く、だんだん曜日の感覚がなくなってきます。
今や曜日や祝日は、人混みや渋滞に巻き込まれないための指標でしかなくなっています。
人間が勝手に作った決め事に振り回されることなく、どちらかというと天気や日照時間など自然の事象を意識して生活したいものですね。
