Everything costs more money, like increasing consumption tax. But rarely there are reasonable information in this area.

Both bridge and tunnel will be free starting coming December.

As of now, normal automobile costs 100JPY for one way. 200JPY for round-trip. Free of charge sounds good for us.

Personally I often use both, when I go out for news gathering. I will be able to go the other side of the bay more often. So I am very happy with this news.

12月1日からどっちもタダになるんです！

現在、普通車で片道100円、往復200円、タダになるのは悪くないですよね。

自分にとっても、地域取材等、ある意味通勤道路。これからもっと向こう側にいけそうです。

KAWAII of Kitakyushu!

I was surprised!

by a KAWAII (cute) bus running in our home town, the city of Kitakyushu.

This is not Nishitetsu Bus (private bus company), but City Bus.

According to Sanrio, they are struggling to re-promote the character losing popularity. Is the marketing sense of Kitakyushu who use this character SHARP? or Masochistic?

我が街 北九州にはこんなカワイイバスが走っているんです。

西鉄バスではありませんよ。なんと市営バスです。

サンリオさんによると今ではキャラクターの人気下落に悩んでるそうですが、そんなキャラクターを使う我らの北九州市のセンスはある意味「とんがっている」？それとも「自虐的」？

Cheap but tasty Leafy Veggie! part 2

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This city has a great coast.
Its name is “SENJOJIKI KAIGAN”,
which means (rock) beach as wide as thousands of tatami space.
At low tide, huge basaltic plate comes out from sea.

There used to be many people visiting there, because there used to be a popular beach resort near the beach. Now, there a few people.

However the sunset was still beautiful at “SENJOJIKI KAIGAN”.

The area where the beach located is farming paradise.
At a farmer’s market, one size smaller Chinese cabbages caught my attention.

It was cheap, because of the size.
And it became to ZOUNI, one of recommended self-cooking winter menu in TOUKA

Sightseeing – Shopping Food Material – Cooking – Tasting
This cycle may be fun for the tourists.

安くて旨い葉物野菜！ その２

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

そこには、なかなかすごい海岸があります。
その名も「千畳敷海岸」。

干潮時に玄武岩の洗濯板が海面から現れるんです。

ひと昔前には、近くに海水浴で賑わった施設などもあったので、結構賑わっていた記憶があるのですが、そのアクセシビリティから今は人はあまりいません。

けれども、今なお、そこから見る夕陽はなかなかのものです。

そんな海岸のあるエリアは同時に野菜天国。

産直市場で目に止まったのが、ひと回りサイズの小さな白菜。
規格外のためかとても安くて（とはいってもこれが例年価格ですが）、その日の献立「灯火」冬のゲストハウス自炊メニュー、雑煮に早変わりしました。

観光 〜 食材購入 〜 調理 〜 食事
そんなサイクルでこの町を楽しむのも面白いかもしれません。
