Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
I heard from a firefighter who came to our guesthouse for an on-site inspection this week that there was a resurgence of COVID infections on the front lines of emergency services. So I looked into infection status and I found out something interesting.
It is that the number of infected people increases significantly as soon as July begins every year!

Infection expanded in July last year too, huh? Maybe this is it? I am reminded of a news article of two years ago.
“Approximately 10% of participants at Hakata Gion Yamakasa were infected with the new coronavirus, totaling nearly 600 people”

In this case, as of the summer 2022, the people involved in the event, the media, and government agencies were silently to furiously denying that a cluster had occurred, but in November, it was finally revealed that as many as 10% of the cases had been infected.
The infection situation from last year has now remembered as an episode of Hakata’s best Yamakasa hot enthusiast. This made us to have feeling of discomfort/crisis.

Despite this being the third year since a similar situation has occurred, the prefecture issued a “warning” for the new coronavirus, even though signs were already visible in early July. This wasn’t announced until July 18th after “Oiyama” was finished.
This reactive response resulted in a disaster, in the infection situation throughout the prefecture.

Because of the spread of corona infection, we can live in Hakata!
Hakata Gion Yamakasa is the first and most intimate event of Fukuoka’s large-scale summer festivals. From there, infection spread throughout the prefecture and further expanded through festivals and fireworks festivals in various locations. It seems like the whole of Fukuoka is closing our eyes to to this situation and the real cause.
As an member who works in the tourism industry, where interacting with people is our vocation, we recognize that Yamakasa is the “demon gate” for the spread of COVID in Fukuoka, and I will continue to be cautious.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
今週当宿に立入検査に来ていただいた消防官の話で、救急最前線での新型コロナ感染の再拡大を知り、職業柄、感染状況を調べてみると興味ことがわかりました。
それは毎年７月に入ってすぐに大きく感染者数が伸びていること！

昨年も７月に拡大？ あれ？ もしかしてこれって？と思い出されるのが一昨年のニュース記事。

本件は、夏の時点では関係者やマスコミ・行政機関はクラスターの発生を沈黙〜躍起になって否定してましたが、11月になって1割もが感染したことをようやく明らかにした話です。
昨年の話も今になって、「博多一の山笠（やま）のぼせ」まで感染していたことをサラッと振り返って報道している様子に違和感・危機感をおぼえます。

似たような状況発生は今年で3年目になるのにも関わらず、７月初めには既に兆候も見られていたのに、県が新型コロナ感染に「警報」を出したのは「追い山」後の7月18日になってから、、、
この後手後手対応が災いして、その後の県全体の感染状況に、、、

コロナ感染拡大があるけん博多ったい！
博多祇園山笠は福岡の大規模な夏祭りの一番手、もっとも「密」なるイベント。そこから県全体に広がり各地の祭り・花火大会等でさらに拡大。どうも福岡全体がこの状況・真因に対して目を瞑っているようです。
人と接することが生業の観光業に身を置く立場として、山笠は福岡の新型コロナ感染拡大の「鬼門」だと自分たちなりに認識し、今後も警戒するようにします。
それでは、県民各自が自分なりの感染に対する認識・心構え・良識を持って素敵な一日を！
